¡Muchas gracias!

I struggle so much with these superimpositions... I get the first progression, the tritone substitution, but then it gets crazy. I mean he doesn't explain enough what side-slip is for example... It's just not clear enough. I know my scales, arpeggios, altered, diminished, whatever... Anything. I can even play out by feel. But I want clearer explanations on why these specific chords, and also am I supposed to hear both keys at the same time, is it like a mix of 2 keys that has ONE specific color? If so do all different key superimposition have a specific color? A degree of "out sounding"?... Lots of question.

I completely appreciate your frustration!! Personally I've studied all of the outside approaches which I've encountered and my conclusion is that any note is justifiable over any chord. The method you apply is not really relevant, it's more about adding direction and 'forward motion' to the phrase. Since playing completely freely and using the natural shapes and patterns of the guitar as my structure I've become really 'free' and happy with my outside playing, compared to beforehand where I was mentally distracted by trying to apply a particular and often challenging concept. These methods are great for training the ear in the practice room but I've concluded that they're not for me for the time being and I can scratch the itch using more comfortable approaches. Cheers!

Hello, I recommend Garzone's apple ebooks which contain examples in all common keys and performance clips with piano accompaniment. A great watch!
