The commercial feel is because they sell those things commercially but they also provide the same exact product for the military, no change in packaging or anything. I can go to a sports store and get all those REAL products any time, it's made for everyone.
I was just about to say “hey, this looks like a commercial ration.” But thanks for setting me straight. It gets difficult to tell sometimes. As the ration community grows, manufacturers are catering to us with all kinds of different ration variations
Drytech does have a civillian business as well, with the Real brand. Those are just the main course though, not the full package like the military rations. Some other brand-names are included in the rations because they're known and familiar to us, especially the blackcurrant and cocoa drinks from Freia/Regia (now yet another Mondelez brand). The older version also had the Gimsøy drinks, but they got replaced by the Real energy drink.
Very cool sir. Great looking ration. All components looked awesome. Drinks all tasted good it would seem. Peanuts good. You said actually roasted? What about salted? That would be nice, even with sodium overload in must components. Chili looked delicious, spicy sauce, seemed to be A nice addition friend. Cranberry protein bar, looked good. I am including more cranberries in my granola, snack , bars I take to work. Excellent chocolate bar. It is funny, but the bloom, marbled with the dark colored chocolate, made it look Very exotic, LOL. Great ration and review Sticky !! Peace, John.
Reindeer Con Carne? 🤔😂 But the whole ration looks a bit small to me. Thank god, I am no soldier... I would starve the whole day long. And as we all know : empty stomach can't fight. 😂
This was dinner, there are 2 similar packs for breakfast and lunch as well, in total I think it's north of 6000 kcals per day (which you need in the cold doing soldiering stuff !) Generally you get one or two trippel packs for your daysack every 1-2 days or you divvy them up if you're going to go offgrid for a while and leave some stuff you don't want/need to keep the weight down. You can see some of the selection here (might need Google translate as it's in Norwegian though) www.fjellsport.no/real-arctic-field-ration-24-standard-menus.html
Upvoting just because its fun to hear Sticky say "Chili Con Carne".
Haha 😂
Ok, so it wasn't just me. Hehehe...
Is he mexican?
That is the correct way to pronounce it..
I don't understand how that is fun.

@@Sticky745 Mexican chicken bowl. I enjoyed it during ol Smokey's live w/kittens. It was very aromatic and heavy with thickener.

Thanks for helping me get it, tough to find around here without spending too much. 👍

It is a bit on the small side but it has all the necessary calories you need for a decent meal.
It's a single meal :)
