Michael and Leo,truly the BEST acoustic duo. Thank you so much for posting these videos. These videos get me by on some very trying and depressing days.
I don't know much about Michael Johnson other than his MOR hit Bluer than Blue, as well as his duet with Leo on Mona Ray on Dreams and All that Stuff, but those nice covers of Jackson Browne and John Martyn songs have picqued my interest. And Leo Kottke, of course, is always a delight. Thank you for posting this concert!
Yeah. , I'd never heard of Michael Johnson either..., but as soon as J heard him sing here.., I thought of Nick Drake or John Martyn.. and maybe James Taylor later in the song.. Great stuff.. Been listening to Leo since I was about 12 yrs old. ( mid 70's)..❣️🎶👍
Leo comes back at 23:00 for JuneBug, followed by Vaseline Machine Gun, Louise, Cripple Creek? (or is it The Last Steam Engine Train?), Ojo (I think, or possibly Eggtooth?) melded with Jesu by Bach, and then charging into Busted Bicycle.
In order these are the tracks - June Bug - Vaseline machine gun - Louise (here switched from the Martin D12-20 Conversion to the Bozo Bell Western) - Living in the country - Crow River Waltz - Jesu joy of man desiring - Jack Fig

Thanks for posting. Only discovered Leo in 2020 , still finding gems from his early years.
These are my guys! My main music inspirations - would've given up the guitar altogether if not for them.
Kottke-THEE best!

Oh and btw.. check out Alexi Murdock good music.
I saw Michael Johnson play a solo show in the early Nineties where he did a great version of "Jacques Cousteau".
Two guys arguably at their best, and I was just 2 days short of my 5th birthday.
thankyou so much for posting.insane musicianship comes to mind.

Wow, how much coffee did Leo drink for Vaseline Machine Gun?
June Bug, too. But awesomely accurate!
