Thank you so much for this excellent and concise video; I changed my Navi's oil today all by myself and I've never done anything mechanical like that in my 63 years of life!! ☺️💚
The links in the description really helped thank you so much, now I have everything I need to do my own oil change rather than paying Honda Motorsports $200 for them to do it
800ml is way too much oil for the bike on a standard oil change. The dip stick and manual even say that. Wish I woulda check my manual before following your advice.
@@visualelstories I put around 650-700ml in mine. The dipstick says to put 700ml in but that can vary slightly. Start with 500-600ml from a measuring cup then add more as you check the dipstick to measure. You want the oil level to be sitting halfway up the dipstick, the stick has little notches to mark the level. Once the oil reaches halfway mark on dipstick that is factory recommendation and you are good to go. Running even slightly too much oil can bog these small 110cc bikes down majorly, running too little oil can burn them up. Halfway up the dipstick around 650-700ml is good oil level for the Navi. It’s incredible how much better mine performs now after just fixing the oil level.
@SatisfyingSnow check your dipstick if the oil is over halfway up the dipstick you put too much in. 800 ml is way too much, factory recommendation is 700ml or halfway mark of dipstick. If you even put a little too much in these small bikes it will bog them down. I recommend putting 550-600 ml in then check dipstick and add more slowly as needed. After I got the right amount of oil in mine it started running way better. Factory recommendation is to have the oil sitting at halfway mark on the dipstick. I’m not sure why dude in the video didn’t go off the manual because he’s giving advice that could damage peoples bikes with this information. That’s why I came back to comment after I fixed mine. Always check manual before listening to a RUclips video, learned that the hard way.
could you just use any synthetic 10w-30? if it’s not a manual transmission the oil is not working as a wet clutch fluid so is there anything special about the oil?
No you can't use any synthetic oil, in the manual for the navi it tells you what the rating circle needs to say Some synthetic oils have other added properties that will ruin these types of motors. I thought the same till I looked in my manual.
People have said that 800mL is too much oil; always check your manual for appropriate oil capacity. 800mL IS the amount for my 22 Navi if the filter screen is cleaned
My son just had his oil changed at the dealer. They wanted $250 to start. He talked them down to $150. Craziness. We'll be doing it this way next time.
You know if you’re not going to take this down you could at least pin a comment mentioning your mistake of adding too much oil in the video. You giving terrible advice to anyone who watches this.

Glad it helped!
$200??? For an $1800 bike WTF???
@@jeremyjeremy8795 $1800 bike? lol
Try $3000+ after fees.
My Navi is arriving in a couple of weeks. Im going to head over to Amazon now to get her goodies! Thanks for the vid
Damn that's some clean oil your draining
Thank you so much for this video. I just did the oil change for the first time.
Great video. Very concise and the links are super helpful. Good job, man.
Just done my first oil change. Had to skip the filter because I couldn’t get it off. Who ever put it on at the factory really tightened it good.
Great video thanks! Not any information out there glad I found your video!
Thanks to this video I overfilled the oil in my bike now have to drain and add oil again plus probably change the air filter and more.
Aren't these engines aluminum? How will the aluminum shavings stick to the magnet?
Crankshaft is steel so it will gather any material from that.
The CASING is aluminum. Parts are steel
Thank you! Excellent easy to understand video
Suntetic or mineral???
Hey quick question!!
My Navi bike started to make this whistling sound.. why could that be?? I just got it a month ago. (brand new)😭😭
Any 10w-30 synthetic ok Honda navi?

how much do you need?

Correct. 700ml max.
Damn I listen to him hope didn’t put too much in my it’s my first oil change

Nice vid, was about to do this on Saturday!

could you just spray the drain bolt, screen and cap with brake cleaner and put it back together once dry?
That's what I did as well
Thanks to you i did it 🎉

ummm, maybe show the bold you're taking off??
Were did u buy the plug
Do i need to change that plug every time? Or do you just wipe it clean?
Wipe it clean, inspect the threads and put back. You should be good for a while
My son just had his oil changed at the dealer. They wanted $250 to start. He talked them down to $150. Craziness. We'll be doing it this way next time.
They do a valve cleaning every-time with the oil change that’s why.
thanks for telling me the sizes!
Happy to help!
Sucks i have 2 Pittsburgh wrench sets their 17mm are always way too big had to go find a socket
How often do you recommend on changing the oil ? As far as mileage.
I believe every 2500 miles.
Don’t push it every 1000 to 1500 remember it’s a 110 cc treat her gently and she’ll give you performance
600 miles initially and 2500 after that
I thought it was 300 miles initially
I like how no one ever gives the same answer. Like scientists lol
Bro how many bottle of oil should i use? 1 or 2 ?
0.7
Dang that oil looks new.
Do i really need the plug or it's optional?
You need a plug for sure or the oil will run out
You never really showed how you cleaned that wire screen. Ddid you just swish it around in gasoline or something?
Just w a paper towel bud
I can't believe honda doesn't use a filter i guess they don't expect you to go 100s of thousands of miles on a scooter lol.
it’s basically a lawnmower engine, not a whole lot really going on there
While they expect you to change the oil every 1500-2000miles
Honda recommends 700milliters.
