    1:21:38 Norsca and VCounts need a champions of chaos style dlc.
    If we get either of them in these triple faction DLC I'm getting my pitchfork again.
    Those two need the most help.
    Nurgle needs an expansion of mechanics, and ogres need the mechanics remade. That's it.
    But the counts and norsca need whole expansions and reworks of mechanics.

    23:59 agree 100. From what I know of the lore, and what the game transmits is that chaos doesn't want the end of the world.
    Chaos wants endless war, disease,change and debauchery. At best only archaon wants ruination.

    We need a "withdraw" button for "sad-able" units.
    Because often telling them to run doesn't work, but the "rout" command seems to be unignorable.
    Same for unbreakable units. I'd like it to be toggleable, with a "run away" button.

    For me, it's worth getting whenever it goes on sale. £20 is still almost half the price of the base game, and it isn't providing almost half the content of the base game. £15, maybe? Changeling needs to overhauled, though. It's a one playthrough gimmick faction.

    I like the rampage changes, but oh dear God they made Stanky somehow even more broken. Her first hex will now make any unit immediately rampage for the whole battle and just run around aimlessly forever until you decide to murder them. Drop it on enemy leaders, ranged units, and spellcasters to make them completely useless 😂😂😂

    i think the tzaangor nerf was necessary for the mp side of things, since campaign players can buff units like that through tech and lord skills

    I think the addition of units was needed so we have parity between the races in the DLC. I wanted mechanics they had announced big changes in the form of reworks, and none of that happened. Furthermore, I can get an amazing indie game for 25 euros that someone has put passion in to instead of this top-down approach that put in the bare minimum. Nothing has changed since the big controversy of the price for the DLC. I will wait for the next DLC to come out and see how it goes but atm I will not support CA for the bare minimum.

    I have a mini dachshund too.
    I really hate to be THAT guy, but a bit of friendly advice with those types of dogs.
    When picking them up it's a good idea to support their back legs too rather than just under their front legs and letting them hang. They have delicate backs as I'm sure you're aware. My pooch had to have back surgery recently because of IVDD which is unfortunately all too common with sausages.
    Cute dog. All the best.

    So the tiny tweaks to stats and cost I bet are some kind of points based system they use to measure cost/benefit ratio for units.
    They used to do tiny tweaks like "+3% damage for corsairs", and all I could think was it was part of some massive system to keep things balanced (and to save all the power creep for those sweet, sweet DLC units).

    I hate that with the new rampage witchelves don't have the cool contact effect anymore they only got poison, what takes in my opinion the uniqueness from them... and for me the reason to recruit them.... That they could rampage enemy's with contacteffect was super cool and useful. 😑

    26:39 heroes aren't the only way to kill heroes. Small SEM are hero killers too.
    So, what I'd like to see would be an akshina hero with crossbow, or dual weapon duelist not defensive hero.

    Freds right that melee defence is one of the most important stats in the game.
    But hes utterly wrong about ghouls and necromancers not crumbling. Ghouls and necromancers aren't living they are the unliving. They are so saturated with dark magic that they are functionally undead, they just havent died. Their body doesn't function like a living creatures body.
    They dont need to eat drink or breath, they can survive weaponstrikes that would kill any living creature.

    • @nerdragefred
      @nerdragefred 7 месяцев назад +2

      Ghouls are made by a curse that happens when they resort to cannibalism. They're not true undead creatures, they just have a bunch of dark magic thanks to the curse and are attracted to other things that wield dark magic.
      I made another comment about this and linked to the wiki if anyone wanted to read more about it but basically they sustain themselves and are not powered by a necromancer or someone else channeling the dark magic for them.
      Like a necromancer who themselves are a conduit and sometimes they're not even dead but perpetually alive thanks to their necromancy.
      "Crypt Ghouls, also known simply as Ghouls and called the "Old Fathers" by the nomadic Strigany,[3a] are the degenerated descendants of Men who were reduced to cannibalistic creatures due to the consumption of raw or decaying flesh.
      Ghouls are not truly Undead beings, only Men twisted and mutated by Dark Magic and their own hateful self-perceptions. Yet, although living, they have lost certain aspects of their souls, meaning that they have no conscience (called Ab among necromancers) and no real sense of identity, self-awareness or individual personality (called Ren) remaining to them."

    • @timothymurphy7669
      @timothymurphy7669 7 месяцев назад

      @@nerdragefred yes like I said they are the unliving. Their constitution has been completely and irreversibly altered by dark magic.

    • @timothymurphy7669
      @timothymurphy7669 7 месяцев назад

      @@nerdragefred yes they aren't truely undead beings but they have become so suffused with dark magic that they aren't truely living creatures either, hence unliving.
      The 'command of the unliving' ability that Stirgoi have summons ghouls.
      Necromancers existence is extended well beyond the lifespan of a natural man and ghouls can subsist on decayed remains that would kill a human.
      Both have extremely unnatural constitutions that are heavily effected and warped by dhar and both can survive when they should have succumbed to injury.
      Thank you for taking time to respond to the initial comment.

    Thank you for contributing to the WH3 community to create discussion. The WH3 multiplayer is catered to for multiple reasons. 1. It's free marketing 2. It creates a space for players to learn, find people with similar interests, and when it comes understanding mechanics the developers didn't intend, large multiplayer campaign and battle communities are likely to report and find them. However, this doesn't mean that even the biggest discord servers who delve into multi-player campaign or battles are correct in their analysis of the current META. However, I do find it more accurate than most single player podcasters because you have hundreds and thousands of players pooling their knowledge and testing their current META of the game vs another players understanding of the current META. One example I'll give is when you mentioned recruitment reduction in general being not worth while most of the time. Well, most competitive multiplayer campaign players would tell you that's one of the strongest blue line traits in the early game. If you aren't bordering someone in multiplayer the best strategy early is to land grab for "most" factions. Generating armies are your biggest expense. Players notice army upkeep is about 1/5 of recruitment cost. If you reduce recruitment to 0 you've essentially paid for 5 turns of upkeep. Once an army is made it should conquer, ensuring the army pays for itself. The multiplayer campaign community typically plays at a 5,000 - 20,000 income deficit to expand as quickly as possible in the first 20 turns. Maybe the three of you have a better understanding of WH3 than the three major discord communities I'm aware of. Maybe the community has a better understanding. The only way to find is to test ourselves. In the military we use time distance analysis to understand how long it takes to traverse terrain. In the multiplayer community the extremely competitive players use cost benefit tables to estimate how much were spending, upkeep, and the turns it takes to reach a target to start bringing in revenue. CA hired consulted economist. Personally, I find roughly 70% of what the podcasterse are saying disagreeing with the top player META in discord communities. We have one CA developer who visits one of the main server. If you are ignoring the multiplayer battle and campaign communities you might want to listen to their thoughts because CA seems to agree with their assessments more than those who limit themselves to singleplayer experience. Singleplayer experience is their largest audience. Since joining these discord communities I've had many conceptions shattered and tend to give developers a greater benefit the doubt. It's we individually as single players who lack the vision of the developer team who made the game and the developer for not being able to communicate their grand vision to the players. I personally, just bought shadows of change last thursday. It's worth it. CA is most likely creating a new engine for their new game. I hope WH3 will be able to port to this new engine. We'll see.

    Shadows of Change was a sore one for me because Tzeentch is my favourite Chaos faction by a lot, so I was incredibly excited for the Blue Scribes & Changeling. But when CA not only provided a pittance of units, negligible new mechanics, & a profoundly underwhelming campaign, but actually *removed* several mechanics (Reveal Intentions is the Tzeentchiest thing in the game & you took it out!?), it left such a sour taste in my mouth I didn't get it.
    Right now, I might reconsider, but losing those mechanics really hurt, because they didn't replace them with alternatives, which should have been the least they could do. It sucks, I love my little blue weirdos. 😢
