Hey Faye! Just wanted to say thank you so much for this video. I got predicted not good enough grades, I had teachers tell me I wasn't going to get into to medical school, got rejected from medical school and didn't do as well as expected in my mocks. My A levels are in two months and i definitely think this past year has been a knock to my confidence and I internalised the messages that the world had told me. I used all the effective study techniques, worked really hard and did everything right but still never seemed to do well. And this left me feeling really heartbroken. I'm definitely someone who isn't naturally smart and it takes a bit more work for me to get to a place, where others would get to more easily.
I have definitely realised that gradually I lost confidence in myself which is why I didn't do as well as I was hoping, even after putting in all the work. In the last few months I have worked hard to get myself back on track and I finally feel that I've got my confidence back. I'm definitely feeling better about things, and I just want to say thank you for your videos as they have really helped me to see that I will get where I want to be in time. I've got a university offer for September for a course I love and I have the chance to do Medicine at that university next year!

@@parulrahate148 Hi! It's been a while since I wrote this message and I'm currently studying biomedical science at university in the UK! I'm hoping to do post graduate medicine after my undergraduate degree so I can still become a doctor. I know the feeling of not believing in yourself all too well. The best advice I can give is to keep trying your absolute best.
You are not a failure. The fact that you have not given up yet means a lot. I feel that only once you believe in yourself you can break out of this cycle and I know that's very difficult. Have a look at your work and try to find where you are going wrong. Then with the help of a friend/teacher or tutor work on what you can do to improve. I genuinely believe whatever is meant for you will find you. If you believe in yourself and keep working hard you will eventually achieve your goals - even sometimes your goals may change along the way. I'm currently averaging a first at university (the highest grade) and I've never felt more confident in myself. Only once I built back my confidence could I really achieve success.
I know it's a hard time but I promise it is temporary. You can do this! Sending all the love your way

I am walking into my chem midterm knowing I'm going to fail, I fully do not understand the material. Who's fault is that? Mine I didn't learn the material when it was given to me, I skipped class, I didn't do my homework. This is it no more, I refuse to let my first year of uni be a failure. I keep procrastinating, and for what, what's the point, what is point of going on your phone for hours, having no social life, just laying there stagnant feeling like shit. There is no one other to blame other than myself, this is my fault. I just want to cry even though I know it's all my fault.
I promise myself and everyone that I will make an academic comeback, no more for me, I can't do this anymore, currently having a mental breakdown, this midterm is worth 15 percent of my grade, and its not because I'm stupid I just didn't study. Will I even pass the class? I think so there is still another midterm and a final exam.
