Good luck! My eyes were bigger than my table when I bought this, and I don't have the room for all those air bases. I'll have to wait for a Vassal module to play the whole game. Looking forward to this series.
There are 10 smaller scenarios most of which would fit on a small table. The 4 campaigns are the same size, try blu-tak and wall mounting it makes even huge games managable.
Glad you're feeling better 😀 Thanks for filming, you're still not shrinking away from the huge games... Most post-WW2 games need to include not just Land/Naval/Air, but also missiles, SOF, ABC weapons, Electronic Warfare etc., increasing complexity. I'm glad I'm not interested in the subject as I'm not convinced my brain could handle it 😆 Are there scenarios playing with just naval/air? To be honest that's my primary interest usually (rather than just land)
There are some scenarios that are just air and naval but I wouldnt recommend you buy this game just to play them. The scenarios are small and the game is expensive. If you are interested in air/naval see if you can pick up one of the Fleet series by Victory Games.
It turned out that way but only due to the way the air game is implemented which in my opinion is incredibly fiddly and uneccessarily complicated. I am sure there is a great game here but it wasnt for me.
@@Jezza_One I totally agree, I have watched the "instructional videos" and I knew right away that this game would be unplayable with the air war rules. Under an Iron Sky is superior to this game.
@@MrProsat Agreed 'Under an Iron Sky' is better, even 'The Next War' is far more playable. Another good choice Is 'Third World War Designer Signature Edition'.
@@Jezza_One I haven't tried the 3rd WW. Yes, I enjoy the Next War series, also, but it is not Cold War background. The rules of that one can be complicated because of the number of supplementals and rule dig requirements.
Great overview, thank you very much. Hope the eye improves. Looking forward to future instalments.
Thanks it should take around two or three weeks for my vision to properly return.
Straight into the campaign!? Fair play to you and will be following.
I have a reputation for doing crazy things.

The vassal is online and the next game will be about the Falklands War '82

@@Jezza_One Thanks, seeing the prices I've decided I'll give it a pass
@@przemekbozekWow I have just been on ebay looking at the fleet series those prices are ridiculous. I am glad I have the full set.
@@Jezza_One Yeah, think sellers are taking advantage of the delay with Compass re-release...
@@przemekbozek Thanks I didnt know they were doing a reprint the maps still look good but the counters are dated.
This game looks unplayable, sorry.

@@MrProsat 'The Next War' is an SPI game that was reimplenented by 'Under an Iron Sky'.
