Yes, he's correct. Though I don't agree with Tim on everything, but he's right about this. It's normal and even healthy for someone to hear and be convinced after the Holy Spirit speaking multiple times about the truth of the Gospel.
The title is totally deceiving. How to make the decision to become A Chrisitian is "the process" but actual conversion is instant & that of God not their idea.
Like many, many, many others things, Keller gets this wrong. You don’t become a Christian in a “process”. Salvation is a one time occurrence, while sanctification is a lifelong process. 2 Corinthians 4:16 Ephesians 1:13 Galatians 2:20
You're using verses when you become, but it takes time to become. Galatians 6:1 Brothers and sisters, if someone is caught in a sin, you who live by the Spirit should restore that person gently. But watch yourselves, or you also may be tempted. Gently. It takes longer to get from one side of the surface to other when you gently glide your hand across.
What is really interesting about all he said is that is simple not in the Bible. The Gospel is very simple; you are not a good person, therefore you need some one good and that is Jesus; repent and believe. What this clip shows about Dr. Keller, is a very deep fear of man. Please read Galatians 1:10.
Interesting presentation. I agree and disagree. I agree that becoming aware of who and what we are in Christ is a process, but the transition from death to life happened for everyone before the foundation of the world in the heart and mind of God, and it was actualized or brought from heaven into earth when Jesus rose from the dead. When He died, ALL died with and in Him, and when He rose, ALL rose in and with Him. Same end result but a person is saved when Jesus saved him/her at the cross and they experience it when the awakening or revelation comes about who they are.
That seems to be the case in most western, evangelical christian communities but not at all for the one who recognizes the Spirit of God that is within him/her as it is in every person. Seeing God as He truly is is liberating and life transforming. This God of whom I speakhas no need for validation, but He is validated by quantum science which is a switch from 100 or more years in the past.

Describes anyone from a catholic to
A protestant
Elect is the scriptural term!
Excuse me, Which book did he mention?

Agree that was a load of unbiblical hogwash from Mr Keller.

Do you believe that there are questions that people ask about Christianity before they even consider the Gospel?
Christianity is a crisis ,THEN a process.

What a load of unbiblical hogwash, Tim just said exactly what a Christian isn’t. I’m amazed at how lost theologically Mr Keller is.
Two simple steps to become a christian:
Step 1: believe in lies and fairytales
Step 2: reject logic, reasoning, and reality
John 3:16
Jesus said "I am the way the truth and the life" . Are you saying Jesus Christ is a liar?

@@Paul-ek5lu Actually, all humanity has already risen in and with Christ when He rose, according to Paul in Romans and Corinthians.
