I get a kick out of shitty bots scraping useless images (like book covers) to print on their cheap garbage products but it's also so depressing and dystopian
A lot of Chinese resellers are actually rebadging e-waste. Which is good in one sense. But like let's pretend you want an NVIDIA 1080 for some retro box or whatever. You end up getting an NVIDIA 1080 except it was a cut-down industrial version scavenged from some donor board a company threw away, and glued to a mismatched base board. So it is basically compatible with a 1080. But doesn't run full speed and requires some really questionable drivers. It's... Fine... If you're advanced enough to know what you're doing. But the average idiot American buying these just boots it up and it says 1080 and they review it "wow fast shipping" 3 stars.
0:05 Most products like that are originally made for disabled people, but because of how capitalism works, if you don't market it for everyone, it's not profitable, and it becomes too expensive to make for those who actually need it, because it's a "niche" product. So they become this "stupid lazy people" product instead. It's very annoying. Example: It's what things like the "Slap Chop" were made for. Someone w/o finer motor skills to slice things can just slap the thing to slice it.
YES that's why commercials for these kinds of products are always 'over the top' with people failing to do something simple. most of these aren't MEANT for able-bodied people, they're for people that can't bend down to put on their socks or people that can't use knives safely!
Maybe they're just stealing images from online about topics that are trending, and if they're not good at reading english they don't realize it's a book cover? Really lazy though.
@TheSkepticalCat My guess is it's what you said, but it is an automated process. Amazon has a bunch of stuff for sale that was made by a bot scanning the internet for random stuff to put on a shirt or trinket, and maybe that's what happened here, but with framed stuff. One of my favorite examples of a bot going rogue was a Christmas ornament with a picture of Auschwitz on it.
Chat saying the most unhinged shit while Joel screams "SHUT UP" at them is truly peak content.
Reminds of that vine of the owl getting attacked by some birds and the owl just says “stop” “stop it”
tbh it's revenge for the Mao disease bit
Chat: "Frenchlight"
I'm glad I stopped selling scams online before Joel found my storefront.
How many jawbreakers did that get you before you closed shop?
@@BinglesP Its not a scam double D its a legitimate business.
@@mrwri Jokes aside, it's funny you specifically call me Double D considering he's one of the characters I most frequently have as my pfp on socials
"Be responsible with your english!" says Joey.

What's going on with framing book covers that tease about the inside rendering them useless on top of not looking anything special 😭
