Nice review. I just came out of surgery after breaking my radius. First Google search of the day, wrist support for mountain bikers! I found your video that way
Had surgery for the same thing a few days ago. My passion is supermoto, but I enjoy cycling and need a brace to ride so we're in the same saddle. Cheers.
I have a severed SL ligament in my right wrist. Looking at your review it gives me hope I will bike again. I was looking at the Modius X8 but that is very pricey. I will try this first. Thank you. Much appreciated. Stay safe. F
Thanks for the great review. I could use some wrist support and was considering buying this product. It is working for you and it should also work for me so I am going to order a pair of the Troy Lee Wrist Supports. Enjoy your riding, I'm going to take a look at some of your other video too.
I have been considering this wrist support, but my issue is my hand slides up or down, some times both, my arm drops, I can't brake properly, basicly my hand does not work due to the movement of my fingers being blocked. I think this will give me some help at least. I think it will work as long as it keeps my wrist tight. I have no injury, body got annoying joint problems. sadly I have this problem with both wrists, but my right is the worst, but recently my left misaligned and slid back in, annoying that my hand move up and down then back in place. I think I should try it. your review is the first I saw on youtube, not much info on it, jsut saw one written review.
Broke radius and ulna on a longboard 3 years ago. Did not wear this at the time. Was not going to too fast either, maybe 20 km/h. One surgery to put metal in, another to have it removed. Got into mtb this year. Speeds are higher in this sport! So it’s a crime not to wear these. Don’t be silly, people. Arm injuries are pretty bad, especially when you are hitting the age of 40 and above. Surgeries are not fun either, you’d be left with at least minor nerve damages and feel electric sensation around the scar for the rest of your life. Not worth it.
No, only for protection of an already-injured wrist. It restricts movement so is not ideal. Best thing thing to do is stay fit and flexible to help reduce injuries.
You're right - it's not long in the overall scheme of things but I was so amped for riding thru December and January so jut disappointed. Doing a big injury is one thing I fear! I did my shoulder when I was 20 and scared me off bikes for 22-odd years! Are you able to get back on a bike now or still off?
This is more of a support for an injury or a weak wrist. I suppose it would offer a little protection if you crashed, by stopping the wrist from folding back, but that’s not it’s main purpose.

Hope you heal up fast. Just don't be too quick to get back on the bike and make sure you build your strength back up. Good luck!
@@TheAverageMTBGuy Thanks! I'll take it easy

Sat here in plaster :/ This could get me back on the bike sooner so I don’t lose all my fitness.
Nice review, thank you
Hope the injury isn’t too bad Justin.

Exactly the same here. Only i am at the "metal still in" part, and with mtb. Lame crash after a 50 km ride, 1 km away from home. Stay safe !
@@thesoloenone8245 I broke both ulna and radius from electric skateboard crash at 45kmh. Ive still got the 2 plates in at the moment.
@@travistravis7190 Stay safe man. i was told that the full recovery will be one year.. The rehabilitation is slow, and VERY painful for me.
@@travistravis7190 One more thing, if you can, use BEMER therapy. Makes wonders with broken bones.
Would you recommend this guard as a means of injury prevention?

Do you still have wrist movement want for my dry bike throttle hand
how about operating brake lever in this?
Hey mate thanks for the review do you wear Medium gloves as well? Thanks
hey 12 weeks is not too bad. I did my shoulder and was off for 12 months sigh

Great product review TY!
