In this video, the VFR had the parking brake on while riding ( even the red P it's on on the dashboard )...just saying....I have a NC750X ...and it's awesome!

I love the idea.Must try one out.VFR1200 DCT.Not impressed with standard Bmws but for their load carrying capacity.Tourer.

The only reason why manual gears on vehicles were invented was because the designers didn't know how to apply power across the power bands.
It makes sense that dct is becoming more popular.

Shows good design(Italian design),the VFR1200 still looks good over a decade later....compare BMWs of the same age

So from what you are saying the original VFR should be better since it stays in paddle shift and it is up to the rider. Great, I own 2010 and I thought the upgrade was mechanical and I was missing something but it turns out I have a better bike with less electronic BS.

Irish music is very epic, emotional, heavy, this music in the intro of the video, where can I find more like this?
Ive got Clannad and Enya, but Im sure there's more than that..

DCT? Far too 'fussy'. HFT and CVT are much nicer which is what I want from automatics.

Huge efficiency losses and much higher maintenance. The automatic handles like i expect it and very much like a cars.

Otaku-On-Two-Wheels HUGE exaggeration there! They're no less efficient than any comparable sized machine, no costly chain maintenance and absolutely nothing like my torque converter auto cars.

domster200 there's not much from the transmission dying think I meant it like that youtube has no edit button, it fours have the major issue of holding onto gears for too long after auto down shift on overtakes. like 30 seconds to long.

Honda can be sed to be in some ways..brilliant in coming-up with this DCT convenience, but in putting this into the VFR1200F-wic is more of a sportster or a sports-tourer,was absolutely dumb. Guys who ride such bikes, essentially are mostly the younger set & are thrill seekers-adrenaline junkies of sorts, especially liked taking-on mountainous-'Twisties'. Now why in heck wud anyone of these enthusiasts want an automatic on one of these sport-bikes (with its this riding position, its a sport-bike)? It is simply under-witted & unstrategic.Wudn't it be better, had this feature been fitted to the ST1300 instead?
A misplaced business decision,I'd say.Had the ST1300 ave this feature,it might've even put her back into sales pole position once again in the 'Touring' segment, ahead of the now renowned Britain's own Triumph 'Trophy' SE & German Beemer's RT.

+beaggyboy Because the system is brilliant. In town, on highways. It actually leaves me more capasity to monitor my surroundings. And yes, I have a 2012 VFR1200FD. Previously a 2010 VFR1200F.
Does it work on the track? Well, it works for Marquez and Pedrosa :)
