The back panel is to hold a SHOVEL BLADE, and the interior sleeves are for the shovel handle and the probe. It "falls nowhere" for you because you are not going cat skiing or HELI-SKIING.
It "falls nowhere" for you because it's obvious you have no idea what the intended use of this pack is (i.e. those are not water bottle holders on the inside of the pack!! ). If you've going to complete a review, please do your research and be knowledgeable about the product!
I wish you would have put clothes in it and showed it in the field. If you choose to only do reviews they should be thorough. But thank you for the video.

Heads up if anyone is watching this in 2019. Dakine has removed the insulated channel in the shoulderstrap for hydration.

I was just about to buy this pack when I thought of checking how big/small it actually is.
This pack is intended for in bounds resort skiing, snacks, GoPro stick and water bottle.
If it was only for inbounds there would be nothing to carry skis and that inside pocked is designed to carry a shovel and probe :)
Pierre F. Carrying boards/skis to and from your car if you’ve got something else to carry, and even then it’s nice to have the option
Got this and I use that front compartment for the spare lens, not for the entire goggle.

Can you put a helmet inside the outside flap?
I think the “goggle” pouch is for different lenses

You can absolutely put whole goggles in there... horizontally.
