@CaptainBeyond72 i have to see this movie,,, i have lived in Quincy my whole life, and yes it looks somewhat similar, but for those of us who have walked thru that parkinglot 100s of times, it was easy to pick out,, i was like holy shit, im literaly a 3 minute walk from there,,, AWSOME video, thanks for posting
Where was this scene filmed? I know the Weymouth bank on pleassnt st and the Sharon Train Station and the old Dedham plaza across from the Lechmeres. Cant figure this one out though.
@@howard5992 nice! Thanx. Im trying to map out all the places I wasnt sure of. I delivered to the Weymouth bank that gets robbed on Columbian st off Rte 18.
@@RubHerSoul1 I wish they had taken greater advantage of the city as a visual backdrop to make it even it more prominent. But of course most of the film is dialogue driven so it involves close up-ups.
Peter Yates at the helm of both. The latter of course lifting dialogue directly from the novel written by the great George V. Higgins, aka "The Bard of Boston". :-)
@@ImYourHuckleberry_29 Also, if you haven't seen it yet, check out "Robbery" (1967). Yates claims that the kick-butt car chase scene he directed in that is what prompted Hollywood to bring him over from England and landed him the Bullitt job. :)
Check out Boyle "holding the anger in" vs losing it at 1:40. What a great actor he was.
Great movie.
I wish they would release it on DVD.
Thanks for posting.
I watched it last night.
They did a nice job cleaning up the print.
Thanks for the info.!

@@RubHerSoul1 It's the North Quincy Red Line station. It was completed in Sept 1971. This was likely filmed the fall of the following year.

Watch breaking away
French Connection (1971) , though fictionalised (the novel is fantastic) , is nice and gritty as well .
I’m sorry sir, your life is only worth $5000. 😙
