I have a rescue dog who is so scared of lorries or buses, or passing work sites with industrial machine noises, she will just sit down on the pavement and not move! She won't take treats to get her to move... How do I get her to move!!
We've been working on our 1 year old who is very much the same way. He has over came a lot of things but the separation anxiety is the worst and he is only getting worse. He now won't even eat in his cage any longer. 😢
Awesome that you guys are making progress with the fear! Shame to hear about the separation problem. I find that the key to overcoming this is in actually seperating yourself from the dog more often. Which starts at home! Being able to be in another room without the dog freaking out is the start then progress to longer periods of time building up to eventually leaving the house. But if you can’t leave the dog for atleast a few hours in another room without them freaking that’s where you start
