This train is a super star! My Dad, now no more, was a young railway servant way back in 60's and would mention proudly about this train with its livery, breakfast in a coach restaurant etc., including the pride which the commuters exhibited. Nice to see its celebration though the Engine still looks dirty on its birthday. Lazy Railway staff. No pride at all! Anyways, thanks to you guys, we see such celebrations. Deccan Queen is the Only Train which run from CSMT to Karjat nonstop. It is also the only train which passes but does not stop at Kalyan, mum-pune Pragati does not pass through Kalyan, it goes via diva - panvel - karjat route. also, if Deccan Queen had a Push-Pull arrangement, it could have run CSMT - Lonavala nonstop :)
In a bhor ghats vskp csmt exp and Deccan queen exp collided at pune jn but no deaths and no injuries for except blasted first ac coach amd general van😂
