Say what you will about Clem Burke.....He is a monster Rock Drummer.....His sound is as close to perfect as you can get.....And Deborah Harry is Atomic.....
The song is fucking awesome, and this rendition is maybe the peak of it. Energy floating around the venue, and the band perfectly mingled. She is the most intriguing mix of femininity and rock.

Great version ! Atomic is one of my all time favourite songs in the history of music be it Bach, Beethoven, the Beatles or anyone. A very original song !

Perfect band; the guy's sound and accuracy gave Debbie Harry the platform without fail, but without her erotic majesty they would have been just another good rock band instead of one of the top 5.

Nice hat tip to Ennio Morricone during the bridge - Good, bad, ugly theme. Clem Burke has so much chops and power they need a drum shield - totally insane!!! Did New Order get the idea for the Morricone riff in Blue Monday after hearing this Blondie masterpiece - one can only wonder - art influences art. Ennio Morricone, one of the greatest composers of the last century.

Yes! The leap in audio recording from the late 70's to even 20 years later is astonishing and it's even better now. Sometimes hard to go back and listen to 70's and 80's music because of how much is missing due to the recording technology.

Blondie est un groupe de musique américain, fondé en 1975 à New York par Deborah Harry et Chris Stein. Pionnier de la scène pop punk des années 1970, le groupe devient célèbre pour son mélange électrique de styles musicaux intégrant des éléments disco, pop, rap, reggae tout en conservant une base new wave. Blondie se sépare après la sortie de son sixième album studio, The Hunter en 1982. Debbie Harry continue en solo avec plus ou moins de succès. Le groupe se reforme en 1997, avec un single à succès, Maria qui devient numéro 1 aux Royaume-Uni en 1999. Le groupe effectue des tournées à travers le monde durant les années suivantes. Quel a été le secret de son éternelle jeunesse ? Probablement qu’elle a mis ses enfants au monde après 1982, année où Blondie cessa de faite partie du TOP 30 des Discothèques. Le tube de Blondie que je préfère c’est ATOMIC, le mégatube de 1980, premier au Hit Parade des Discos pendant des semaines, peut être pendant des mois, c’est dans le clip vidéo d’ATOMIC que Deborah Harry fait figure de la femme, de la fille la plus belle de la planète.
