Oh those glorious sound effects are amazing. Needed pixel perfect precision to complete this game; my proudest gaming achievement ever. Kids today with their auto save points & hand holding tutorials ain't got a clue how tough games were back in the day.
He using autofire tho. Makes it quite a bit easier. Try getting all the way to Wingate and beating him on one guy when you have to keep pressing the fire buttons. Your arm will be half dead. I've gotten to him on one marshall, wasn't able to beat him tho.
Bruh, this was insane on hard, just look at the attack pattern on the Indian stage alone, you’re getting hit from all angles plus you have to fight the boss, it’s almost similar to the grim reaper stage on Castlevania with all the knights axes and Medusa heads flying at you
Luv the Indian stage. Dudes firing rifles at you. Machine gun guys shooting you. Tomahawks spears arrows and dynamite. Assholes jumping off cliffs at u. Then sum dick in a tent start taking pot shots at you. Lol. Those guys with the bow & arrows are so pissed at you, their arms are firing those arrows like an automatic weapon.
Great job there. This game was really freaking crazy hard when l was a kid. It's harder even now :) Newer get farther than to ninja dart with one coin at arcade saloon at this times :)

You are crazy good at video games. I always thought the Indian chief level was the last level cause it was so long... I never even got to him cause my $2 lunch money (which I would save on Fridays to play this at 7-11 would be used up lol.
i played this one arcade cowboy game- it was a side scroll running shooter and the bullets were big and blue and the first boss was this big indian that went up in flames when you defeated him- can't recall the name though...
I am looking for the game where there are two ninjas blue and red and another guy with yellow jacket and black pants..I don't know the name...when bosses die they give points and food may be..there was bazooka..it's a beat em up game...I remember the ninja's shouts souja often...any idea what that game is?
Was on of my favorite games at lunch time we had a little corner 20 yards from our high school had out run,gun smoke , mortal combat, and gauntlet,we would give all off them hell for 45 minutes a day they had pizza, pizza boats ,sandwiches, salads and penny candy fortune gum ,sour patch kids , flavorex tooties ,all the stuff candy cigs ,gum cigars and so on .the story name was Boston's in Bridgeport Ohio good memories
Así es! Viva ese port! Gracias a esa versión (aunque un poco modificada) pude también terminar este juego, ya que en los Arcades, la velocidad y dificultad eran totalmente locas. Saludos.

Can somebody explain to me how the 'cow sculls' work in this game? My limited understanding is that they decrease your firepower/speed [bullet/boot icons] to some/other degree...so this player avoids most of them, but then appears to collect a couple of them, on purpose?

Beat me to it, yet I will add that even that was barely enough to make it a decent game, and we had to wait another 5 odd years before the hardware caught up enough to give us Ryuko no Ken/Art of Fighting by the same designer. (*_*)

Facts
This game is just insanely hard!
From a telefilm. And with typical Capcom music.
it looks crazy. the only thing helping you out is their bullets have limited range.
Loved this game as a kid but damn it was hard.
This game is brutal. I saw only few playthroughs where the player beat it with 1 cc, to see finally one who did it with no deaths is amazing.
I remember this game it was brutal, so many quarters it took from me.

Im still searching for the criminal for the 11th Round who hide behind the boulders.
It is unused on the pcb. No one has ever really seen it. There has to be a way someone could download the rom and unlock that level.
Round 6 is probably the only historically accurate part of this game.
Round 6 was a nightmare, if you got past that stage then game will be completed for sure

As someone who is learning how to develop games, I am soooo glad I didn't have to make games during this era.
Ion think I ever beat the 1st stage as a kid. This guy play is Awesome
My memory of this will always be the nes version which I loved. Hardly played this, might have to revisit!
From the western series to an arcade game Gunnnnnnnnsssssssssmoke ( BANG )
one of my favorites game ever amazin run
I absolutely hated this game but was determined to beat it. To think that someone did it with no deaths is nothing short of amazing.
This was an EXCELLENT game
I remembered playing this for hours....

Maybe you are referring to the game NINJA WARRIORS or SHADOW WARRIORS? Let me know.
That Game was amazing, one of My favorite ones
This game is Ridiculously hard. Even with Capcom Stadium 2's rewind option. I love it

This play is really really really perfect
He s a pro
Looks like he is using auto fire tho. Makes it a little easier.
Was this the game with the big silver knob that you pushed down on to fire and twisted to aim?
No it had 3 buttons, one to fire forwads and the other two to fire diagonally.
'when you got to shoot, shoot. don't talk'
first of sunsetrider...capcom ever a step in the future
The spiritual predecessor of Red Dead Redemption
Is this the arcade version? I always assumed this existed, but had never seen it before. I played the hell out of this on the NES though.
Good times on gunsmoke on the nes
how do i get this game, i spent countless hours on this when i was younger.
The Nes port is one of my favs.
Así es! Viva ese port! Gracias a esa versión (aunque un poco modificada) pude también terminar este juego, ya que en los Arcades, la velocidad y dificultad eran totalmente locas. Saludos.
Wait! So the nes game was based from arcade?
Man I never see this game but I liked it.
@nemo pouncey and it will be in Capcom Arcade 2nd Stadium
As a kid I could never beat Pig face dynamite.
i played this when i was elementary school boy its been almost 40 years ago lol
Donde puedo descargar el juego para jugar
Hi buddy, MAME emulator. Google it you’ll find the download link
Este juego me lo llegué a pasar en un salón recreativo y no volví a jugar es super difícil
Reminds me of commando

Same hardware.
I absolutely LOVED this on NES. Great SHMUP...well that's the way I see it anyway.
This game actually predates the CPS1
First time I've ever even seen this game. A lot like Capcom's 1943.
I never had enough quarters to finish this game :(
Excellent game..kicked much ass MINES..
荒野大镖客
I can see some of the Street Fighter 1 characters resemblance here. Such a classic game~
@Christopher Wallacesee the wanted list at the beginning. The ninja and the bold head guy?
Effing brutal is the only way to describe Gunsmoke. Bloody brutal as hell.
Great game though.
Como te extraño Capcom
What kind of sunset riders is this???
Insane gameplay 🔥
this version wasn't what i played when i was a kid on my NES. what console was this on?
Wow now this takes me back 😅😅😊
Do you know what is CPS1 ?
Capcom Playing System 1 :) Strictly, this game shouldn't called CPS1, because this game produced way earlier than Capcom Playing System 1
Can somebody explain to me how the 'cow sculls' work in this game? My limited understanding is that they decrease your firepower/speed [bullet/boot icons] to some/other degree...so this player avoids most of them, but then appears to collect a couple of them, on purpose?
the cow skulls decrease one item per icon:one skull= one rifle, one bullet, one boot, less, but each skull give you 1000 points
The Red Dead Redemption 3 that we deserve.
man the gun sound of the default weapon sounds way worse than the NES version does!
Me acuerdo gran juego arcade de los 80/90 era muy difícil
Eres el puto amo!!!!!!
Gun smoke , Capcom 1985 😁😁😁😁😁😁 🏜 🤠 🐎 🔫
Nice array of Western-themed emoji there. (#^_^#)
This game was definitely tough.
got his on ps3 with the capcom arcade clasiccs with ghost and goblins o.o

Que recuerdos saludos desde Uruguay
Esse jogo é de 85, não existia CPS1 nessa época.
Gunsmoke is not a cps game its z80 based
Indeed, Lost/Forgotten Worlds was the first CPS-1 title released in 1988. (^_^)
@Christopher Wallace And an 8mhz 68000

Didn't help having a bunch of backseat gamers telling me what to do
It looks like playing a different view of The Sunset Riders
great play !!
Very nice clone of Commando
Some people dare to say that the NES version is better than this one! No f*cking way!!
It's not.
The news version is shorter but more accessible.

I had the NES version of this game mastered.
Que saudade desse jogo
ほぼ戦場の狼ですやん
Помню эту игру
Great game
This is off of “1942” I miss fun games where you don’t have to press eight buttons for simple movements
Is Gun Smoke an isometric Sunset Riders or is Sunset Riders the horizontal side scrolling Gun Smoke?
THAT is the big question.
It seems that Capcom reused the 1942 game engine for this game.
CPS1 ?????

In my childhood i had to stole Money to play this satanic game
I stoled my mother's money played Arcade as well....shame on myself, lol. I feel you bro
@@michaelpf08 yes bro👍👍👍
Either the game is too short or you're pretty good at it...
is that luffy
Wow, this is much different than the nes version. The sound and sound effects is really bad, but the bosses is much more fun, albeit a bit glitched.
Is that luffy?

Sunset Riders probably originated from this game.
👍👍💯
the nes version is pretty close to the arcade's.
Red Dead 0.01
Awesome game but I can't believe the NES version had better sound and music. Also every stage was unique.
The only thing about this game I didn’t like was that you didn’t get different weapons. Other than that it was a awesome
Gun Smoke.
Hardly fair to use two auto-reloading semiautomatic weapons against bad guys with single-shot pistols. But fun to watch.
