  • Fed up staying at home for the Covid19 lockdowns and itching to smash our Yotas into some rocks, we went wheeling! Its getting too late in the year to hit The Hammers trails in Johnson Valley, CA but fortunately for us the highs never got above mid 90s. Cameron actually drove his (daily driver) 4runner out to the trails while Jason and I towed, like reasonable people do. We met some really cool folks on the trail and saw a wide variety of rigs tackle each obstacle the trail had to offer.
Also, please try to ignore the smudgy GoPro footage around 5:00. It was amateur hour...

Geez no wonder I didn't make that v ledge at the plaque on 42's without pulling line, I didn't stack 3ft of rock to be able to drive right up I to the right rock. Stupid me.

That's exciting! It's one of my favorite parts of CA. If you find it is too hot during the day, alot of people move towards wheeling in evening and at night cause the temp is normally perfect. There is also a little mine out near the exit of Aftershock where you can get a nice break from the sun. Have fun!

Looks to me like the Runner has a little smaller tire size and that causes it to hang up a bit. Would you mind sharing what sizes the three of you guys are running?
    Great vid man!

Yea every rig has pluses and minuses. He may have smaller tires in the rocks but that rig is much more street-able and he drives it to work every day. The 4runner is on 37s, the white yota is on 38s, and the mine is on 40s.

I love the differences between jeep guys and toyota guys. The jeep guys always seem to be proper with nice rigs while toyota guys seem to not give a shit and usually have a beat to shit truck😂.
    Yotanation!!✊️
