Thank you so much for posting this. I played trombone with Nat when he joined up with Dougie Richfords London Jazzmen. We didn't like each other in the beginning but became very good friends. This took me back to those very good times.
Nat sang to me 23yrs ago in Gosport,at a bus stop ,he sang all i wont for Christmas is my two front teath ,what a guy wish i had a mobile then,to record it ,
Nat Gonella with Ted easton dms, Bob Wulffers tpt, Flip Robers tbn, Frits Kaatee clnt, Pim Hogervorst bjo, Jacques Kingma bass, in a German Tv show. A unique document of Dutch Trad history!
Absolutely FANTASTIC!!! I have a different copy of this (still live recorded) by Ted Easton but still just as great!!! I really love Nat Gonella and wished someone would bring out a video of Nat's 50th Anniversary celebrations. I have it taped from the TV and it's one of the best I have ever seen and enjoyed!! It was recorded in 1985 at the South Parade Pier in Southsea. Digby Fairweather Band was the backing group. I wonder if anyone else has seen this 30 minute video?
Ik heb dit nummer tientallen malen met Nat Gonella gespeeld maar wist niet dat er een video van bestond (komt dit van de TV?). Is er meer van de Ted Easton band op video? Inderdaad - de onvergetelijke "New Orleans Club" in Scheveningen... By the way, dat is invaller Flip Robers op trombone.
Lucky you. Nat was my grandmother Jessie Gonella's cousin. My nana moved to Canada from London after her first children were born and had my dad and her other kids in Canada.
Wat ik ik daarvan genoten.
Thanks for posting this great movie!
