Hi guys, always glad to see one of your reactions. I'm also revisiting Lindsey's earlier works and am re-amazed to realize the skill and creativity that she had at such a young age. She's a keeper! I'm probably misunderstanding you (Americans and British, people with a similar heritage, separated by a common language), but you are aware that she's playing an acoustic violin here. Sometimes in live appearances or whenever the acoustic needs additional volume, they may be enhanced with a mic pickup, usually seen attached to the back of the violin with the mic near the strings.. An 'electric violin' will not have a sound box, the sound is transmitted by piezo pickup built into the instrument which picks up the vibrations off the the strings themselves and not reliant on a sound box. They also come in various shapes and sizes and sometimes only vaguely resemble a violin. An analogy would be an acoustic guitar vs a solid body guitar.
