This scene motivated me to watch the movie. What an underrated masterpiece. The music, the characters, the beautiness, the dialogues, the so forgotten introspection... thank you French people :)
Cried myself to sleep on that scene, because I knew if that was me, I really couldn't do it. I hate myself. Huge bravo to this scene, how he struggled to get the love out... trapped is his own body. Ugh..
Nope she came as an help n metaphor Luc Besson realizes this in each of his master peaces - Angel-A is THE masterpeace to me! Thx Luc beaux travail !!!
Im going through depression and this scene reminds me of how important it is to learn to see yourself and give yourself love. This scene is powerful. Thank you for helping me project myself and saying I love you (to myself).
Touching scene from Angel A directed by Luc Besson. Do you love yourself, not as a narcissist, but as someone who finally arrives to love themselves. No one will love or respect you until you do!
I bawled so haaaard a this scene during the movie, I felt like she was talking to me and I was looking a the Mirror… No movie ever made me feel like this, my body and my soul felt the rawness and honesty in this, it was not the character, It was the true feelings of the actor, Jamel Debouzze Who is an humorist andusually Makes comic type movies but he delivered it and it was good seeing his vulnerability 😌 respect My opinion changed on him after this movie ❤️❤️❤️
A perfect scene.... beautifully written, tenderly and intimately acted! I think anyone who has low self-esteem or confidence should do this every day! We all have beauty in us, even if you need help to see it sometimes!
with this, I understood what self-love is. It is an acceptance of being small and maybe weak, but it doesn't matter. It's allowing yourself of being worthy. it's not hurftul, it's genuine and natural. We all have falws and problems, but to ourselves, we are only one we have and we are good people anyway. If you need love, then show it by you to yourself. If you really want it, you can express it and none's gonna judge you.
Luc Besson provides us with one of the most artistic expressions to be found about the dichotomy of mortal existence. Everything in this piece of brilliantly created cinema amplifies the emotions that run through us all, symbolized by the extreme opposites of B&W, the look of the two characters, and the juxtaposition of the sacred & the profane. There are few among us that can not relate to the simple beauty of this work of true cinematic art. Bravo!
Boy, did this movie make me cry! And laugh! It's brilliant! Sexy, mysterious, profane, holy...everything that American angel movies and television shows AREN'T! I hope I have a guardian angel like that!
Lucky you if Hard for you not to smile while watching this scene. I am still at the "How not to cry while watching this" level of my life... :'( Hope to see through the mirror soon
A young beautiful soul, in the body of a young beautiful woman, recommended this movie, and loaned me a copy, before another beautiful soul, in an older beautiful female body- watched it, and knew how significant it was to me. All the love of the universe will not brighten the soul of any whom do not first love themselves… The seen in front of the mirror, is one I have shared with many, whom I hope would be tempted to see themselves as sparks of the divine, and integral pieces of the puzzle of the universe. Thank you Katherine, I hope life is being good to you. Peace, Love & Metta
An absolutely stunning movie...this scene brought tears to my eyes! 2 wonderful actors! if anyone hasnt seen this movie you really should watch it. its one of my fav films now...
I've watched this movie from a pirate dvd back and then when i was 7, now I'm watching it again and it feels different like everything is all fake like that dvd back in time.
This type of movie deserves great respect and attention. American movies are so fake and out of touch. If Hollywood made movies like this probably their kids would not behave the way they do which is vulgar with very little morals and self value. Bravo to Angel-A and Bravo to Luc Besson for making such an amazing film.
actually you are right, the cultural difference that appears to me when I meet young Americans is huge, I'm french and we are romantic. for exemple they say: " nothing is free in this world" when I ear that my heart is bursting.
Loving this movie so much, and this scene in particular... It's been what, almost two decades? It's like seeing the mirror in the mirror. I'm almost 31yo... Never had anyone but mom saying «I love you», not even a lie to the face. And say then say the same words to myself, looking in the mirror? Already lost about 5 years to depression following failed attempts at relationships... And I feel like with each year passed, there's less and less strength to even look at myself... Sigh. I wish everyone happiness, love and peace of mind. I wish & hope that at least others can find it❤
The second movie to ever made me cry like a baby, and i hav seen a ton of movies in many different languages, but then again i suppose this movie only appeals to depressed souls that have nvr been loved or touched.
it might sound stupid , but in my past when I was depressed because I never had reached love by someone, this only scene gave me the reason why I never did. I realized my lack of love to myself and after that I felt relieved and my sadness just disappeared.
@@joseguillermoregaladocasti8619 I think you missed the point. Sure it's about loving yourself, but this dude never would have done it without the woman. Sometimes you need someone else to show you
I just love this movie and this is one of my favorite movie scenes of all time. No one here knows this movie... makes me kinda sad :( It's so beautiful
If only an angel came to save all those troubled by fear and insecurity. I love french cinema, since I studied the language for a good part of my life. C'est une belle langue.
This fantastic, underrated movie cuts to our soul because it demonstrates the deep, unresolved despair we suffer daily. We don't know our own dignity because it's corrupted by our sin. But like the angel in this movie, God sees through our corruption and ugliness. He sees our soul and He redeems us. When we make God the center of our life, we are made new. We discover the ultimate hope that Christ provides by sacrifice and pure love. We muddle in wretched sin because we always have original sin. Christ reverses our fate. He takes what we deserve and gives us what He deserves. This isn't something a human would ever do for us, so why do we put our Faith in anyone human?! It's hopeless to rely on humans for anything worthwhile. Figure it out. Discover the Way, the Truth and the Life in Our Blessed Lord.
My dear friend Penny thank you very much for sending the video, a TCE Maaavillosa where the motivation of self-esteem is always welcome, the beauty of the human being, not in its physical, but in the beauty of your heart. A thousand stars, I loved this video, all my stars, beautiful week. Kisses and Love Luis Gerardo.
Beautiful scene indeed, I will look for this movie I hope to find it on youtube, thank you @candysaysll for posting. @Pennilessfairy thank you for sharing, I much appreciate it. One Love Lili
May everyone find the courage to say these words to themselves.

This film is amazing. I remember seeing it in cinema when it came out
"It's hard to love when no one reflects it.. Tell your body how important it is, that it has its place. Give it what it deserves." (Angel-A)
She has one of the most beautiful voices I’ve ever heard.
I saw this movie yesterday.
When he stood before the mirror, I saw myself. My heart cries. Beautiful movie... very inspiring...
I especially like how it's a single take.
I like these scenes too😇

This movie is so beautiful -- so soulful, it has so much heart. It's definitely one of my all time favorites!
this made me cry, i think many of us forget how important is to care about oneself, we are just too occupied searching what we need in third persons
I'm training as a therapist and I brought this to my personal therapy because it opened up so much for me. Its some scene, so beautiful.
A perfect scene.... beautifully written, tenderly and intimately acted! I think anyone who has low self-esteem or confidence should do this every day! We all have beauty in us, even if you need help to see it sometimes!
The movie has a beautiful message, forgiveness toward ourselves does not release, and starting from there comes love
with this, I understood what self-love is. It is an acceptance of being small and maybe weak, but it doesn't matter. It's allowing yourself of being worthy. it's not hurftul, it's genuine and natural. We all have falws and problems, but to ourselves, we are only one we have and we are good people anyway. I was lucky to watch this movie in my teens. I caught it late night on SBS (Australia). I am 50 now and it still hits. The music, the meaning.
