I honestly don't think it needs a remaster. The graphics are amazing, gameplay is fine, and there aren't any huge problems. Plus, a remake would mean they'd use Roger Craig Smith instead of Jason Griffith, which I would dislike tbh.

Tbh it was skill gap. I realize I may not have made a fair comparison, as Forces was my first 3D Sonic game while I had already become sufficiently skilled at Generations before getting the chance to play through the masterpiece that was Unleashed. The mechanics are basically the same with Unleashed having a much more expansive moveset than Generations, though less polished, so I found it much easier to play Unleashed than if it had been my first game. Also playing Rise of Lyric got me used to the general Werehog button mapping, as they're surprisingly similar in that sense. That's why I didn't really struggle that much. I just replaced Forces though and finished it in about an hour and a half, though I primarily attribute that to the fact that I played a ton of Forces before my latest playthrough and I only just started ramping up my Unleashed tech. Hope this helps!

Never understand why people genuinely don't like this game, I have played it a lot on my ps2 in my childhood but never touched the ps3/xbox version, this looks absolutely incredible and fun to play, I like the idea of having powerups on the world lobby to use it to explore, I hope I can play this someday edit: I finally got to play this version of the game and I'm loving it! it's so much different from the PS2 ver, it's a totally new game! I've been having fun so far

I like how the speedrunner is purposefully not grabbing ANY of the collectibles, minus the sun and moon medals. And this game as a journey and experience is unforgettable, like really going on a world adventure.
Purely here because I would play this religiously and couldn’t beat it as a kid, you have given me (now 21) confidence to play through once more and conquer my old foe. Also gg’s on the speed run hehe.
The fact that the fastest routes through most of the day stages is literally just following the set path, but doing everything as precisely as possible is so interesting to me. Obviously it's how the game was meant to be played, but it's just cool that boundary breaking is so sparse there.

@@mee091000 to the point of where you have to memories the layout of each level and have practiced it countless times that is the correct way to play Sonic that is when it is fun not the first time you play it with all the stops and dying from shit you can't process will be there because of the blurred boost and high speed.
Man I look at speed runs of the modern games and wish I could show my 5 year old self playing Sonic 2: one day son, this is what that little pixel hedgehog will do with you in the drivers seat.
its my first and only sonic i played as a kid (and its still the case today) i was bad at this game as a kid so bad i coudn't beat the boss of first night stage ): but now im 16 and i have way less trouble (doesn't mean the game can't be infuriating tho)
god that mid level fight theme can get so grating with its beginning sting constantly restarting at least it shows how much faster you completed the game compared to what they expected
The most unorthodox thing in comparison to most SU play throughs is the amount of combo experience.. Hardly anyone I know who played the game upped combo

werehog just isn't fun, motion blur, daytime level design and controls aren't as good as generations

This game is so polished. I could play it for an eternity.
