I had no idea that Catalina was so over developed.. I thought it was a place that was relatively pristine and only had maybe a few restaurants small hotels ...wow little did I know.
They only allow a certain number of vehicles on the island..you must get on waiting list.....when someone, let's say dies or moves off the island, then their "spot" comes up, then the next one in line gets to register their vehicle....It's a good thing....
Just by the way you said don't go their. They don't need that energy. Stick to destin Florida. The person giving the tour is speaking English and you can see the American flag everywhere.

there is only one big town on the whole island, and a small one on the other end.
Yes I know I I looked at pretty much every vid I could find on Catalina.. I just did not expect it to have so many buildings and houses on it .

Gas is about $5 a gallon and if the maximum speed limit is 30 miles an hour a golf cart is a perfect vehicle!
