That’s awesome!! Whatever you do, when you get to those, “dead spots,” (where you wonder, “what’s the point, I’m not getting anywhere?!!” And you will get there), don’t give up!! Keep learning new songs, (all styles of music), and exercises!! That’ll help keep things fresh, and keep you motivated!!
Pull up Buddha Dickens learn hammer ONS he'll tell you what a Buddha rope is go to the fabric store and cut a piece and put duct tape on the ends so it doesn't unravel it's like doing isometrics..
As Sylart57 said, don't get discouraged when a technique seem really impossible for u to learn. When it happens you really just work on it 30 min a day. That daily 30 min must be entirely dedicated to work. Work only that technique, nothing else for this 30 minutes. After about 2 weeks or more(depends), you will pick your instrument and realize that you play it with a lot more ease and it will feel natural to play it. You don't really see it coming tbh it just pop one morning, as the fruit of your discipline But don't miss a day! If you can affort a professional teacher, you'll never ever regret it. Good luck
new to bass i have a question...whats the secret to the slap tone? I play guitar typically but im trying to learn slap and i cant get that iconic tone.
