Ball bearing is spherical in shape and it reduces friction because area in contact is very low and it doesn't allows friction to act on the balls and surface irregularities are also less.
Like others have said, ball bearings are spherical and that makes them very low in friction. Balls, as you may know, also roll much easier and freely than any other 3D shape. One thing other's haven't mentioned is that the balls can be shaped really precisely. Not all of them are the same, and not all of them are made from the same material. That is why ball bearings come in different qualities, some spin faster than others. It all depends on how well rounded the bearings are. The smoother they are, the less friction and the more speeds they can reach. Sometimes they are greased or lubricated to have even less friction and this can make them gain acceleration incredibly fast. The bearings also have "shields" that protects them from getting dirt or any small particles that may disturb the smoothness. How well these shields do their job depends obviously on the quality of the bearing.
I am so excited about your site! When I discovered it I kept on checking your videos. I teach students with learning issues. Your graphics are clean, simple and easy to grasp. My students are getting so much out of these videos. They are interactive and cover solid basic information in science. Thank you so much. Please keep on creating your series on all topics science. My kids are in high school but struggle with science concepts. I am finally getting through and my students are learning. Great job on the graphics and explanation. You are so user friendly. Hey there ! I have a perfect suggestion for you . As the video which you make is so amazing and easy to understand , so you have a very huge number of subscribers . If you will make your own app it will also get hit . There you can personalize our experience and can add some more cool features . They are you can take the quiz also . The experience of using that application will be amazing . After sometime extramarks , vedantu , byjus , unacademy will be replaced by the don't memorise app . I hope you have read this comment . Thank you . I am waiting to download that app .
It's easier to move objects with wheels because wheels use friction to push the object forward. Since a spinning pushes backward on the surface the friction between the wheel and the surface pushes it forward.

madam you said the sliding friction is on higher side generally but if the size(mass) of the objects change like in case of a car if we are pulling it and on the other hand if we are pulling a10kg of a box which would be easier??

friction can be used by using ball bearings because they ------------- (a) make the surface plane (b) make the surface grassy (c) convert sliding friction into rolling friction (d) have no friction of their own..
static friction lifting a chair and putting it somewhere; sliding friction sliding i.e pushing it on the ground ; rolling friction is pushing an object with wheels😊😊😊😊

You never answered the question of why
But the topic of the video is "WHAT" is rolling friction
It's easier to move objects with wheels because wheels use friction to push the object forward. Since a spinning pushes backward on the surface the friction between the wheel and the surface pushes it forward.
E
I think friction directly proportional to Surface area . Sliding friction have more surface area and in case of rolling having less
@@jsingh8192 what if we replace the small wheels with the small cubes?

Good Explanation
Thanks alot
Do a video about centripetat forcr
friction can be used by using ball bearings because they -------------
(a) make the surface plane
(b) make the surface grassy
(c) convert sliding friction into rolling friction
(d) have no friction of their own..
C
static friction lifting a chair and putting it somewhere; sliding friction sliding i.e pushing it on the ground ; rolling friction is pushing an object with wheels😊😊😊😊
The explanations are good
Can anyone tell that where will be the friction if I consider a moving wheel only
friction will still be between the surface and the wheel, the only change is that it will reduce a little friction as the load won't be there anymore.
You make us visualize the concept not like school they tell us to just memorize
3:00 rolling friction
