I bought mine when I was 19 and dailied it until I was 26. Put over 100k miles on it. It’s sat in the garage a few years since getting married but I hit a deer and it’s back on daily duty and man I hate I neglected it for so long
@@llawhon2011 be careful to not hit a deer with your S2000. Even hitting a dog might be a big problem as I doubt you'll find body spare parts easily for the S2000.
Mine was Ap1 02 model and I daily it for 10 years.I only owned one car at that time so I went everywhere with the S2000 and so far I still have it. It is possible to daily the car but space is too small to pack stuff.
I owned an Ap1...threw a connecting Rod through the block with 75k on it...from that moment forward I vowed to never own another s2000 again.........I now own an Ap2
@adrianarteaga6275 definitely not an owner problem. Did all the fluids right after I first purchased it and checked the oil twice a week. 3 Reckless driving tickets that I found in the secret compartment from the previous owner clued me in

Usually f20c's have springs and retainers crack or the damn tct going out often but yeah a rod out the block is crazy. Very dope lol. Weight is 2050 lbs, bolt-ons and a tune make it very responsive and of course mid engine. I wanted to turbo but it's quick the way it is.
I own a modelyear 2002 S2000 since 2010 and i'am still in love with this car but i'am glad it is not my daily driver. I drive it on sunny days and in holidays and it is the most fun in areas as the German Eifelroads and in the Alps/Dolomites. In the winter when there is that dirty and bad salt on the roads it is parked in my garage. Bought it in 2010 with 80000kilometers and now it is at about 186000km. No big builds, only OEM 17inch facelift wheels and KW V3 coils. Here in Europe all the new delivered S2K's are AP1 with the 2 liter engine and revs to 9000rpm!!! I love the VTEC kicking in at 6000rpm and rev it to 9000rpm, oh yeah!!!.......... About the prices raising............i don't know what to expect. The NSX is already very expensive for a good example but it is more rare. What are the fuel prices doing in the future?! Here in the Netherlands 1 liter octaan 98 is already 2,50EURO. So when i like to drive my S2K, i do it and the rest is future.
I’ve daily driven mine for the past 2 years. The only con is the space but i easily solved that with a few simple Modifry products like the glovebox shelve, extra cup holder, and the dashboard phone mount.
I don't mind the loudness, that's why I put music on or enjoy listening to the environment while I'm driving. I daily drive my S2000 and since I don't need a lot of space and do small grocery hauls, I am perfectly happy with my S 😁

Daily drove my s2000 through four Chicago winters. Zero rust. Still mint. 7000 miles when purchased and sits at 47k right now as a weekend car. Absolutely doable. If you can’t, skill issue.
I daily my 350Z roadster, I absolutely love it. Hasn’t gave me any problems other than the small tear in the top, it’s so fun to drive and since it’s a roadster it has Bose speakers and heated leather seats. Great car but I get like 18 mpg and it takes 91

Yes. Been daily driving mine since 2015. Every single day. It has everything, power everything, heat, ac, and the most fun you can have getting behind the wheel. The only reason I wouldn’t daily drive an s2000 is if it was a sub 20,000 mile collector car that you want to preserve the value.

I daily drive my modded Del sol. Your car sounds luxurious compared to mine. Just finished swapping it from auto to 5 speed and don’t get me wrong is fun as hell to drive, but it’s tiring. No A/C, I’ve got this fucking white box under the dash that keeps falling and getting behind my clutch pedal (idk what the box does but it’s got wires coming out if it so I guess it’s important) and it’s LOUD. Like it’s LOUD loud. Thank god it’s not raspy like a river fart can but Jesus it’s loud.
I have an 2019 86 trd and swapped with my friends ap1 and it’s an even funner lil coupe! I think mines faster 👀 (with our specific mods tho haha The S2K feels more premium too and his was a convertible, and that shifter, cluster, and redline smacks 🕹️
I used to daily one. I'd say you can, but wouldn't want to in heavy rain or winter conditions. The gearbox is still the best I've ever had - like a rifle bolt. The 911 I had after the S2000 drive better and had more power but the gearbox was nowhere near as good as the S2000s.
I daily drove an 03 s2k for 5+ years and 100k miles. You can do it if youre in your early 20s lol. Still, I had to cancel or change plans frequently because theres just no room for anything. And it wears you out on long road trips.
Yes you can daily drive it. I had a 2004 S2000 AP2 for 5 years and it was my only vehicle. Had to sell cause I had kids and needed a 4 door. So I got a Honda Pilot.
When I game on a pc I want the best experience, When listening to music or audio it's either nothing or the best sound quality. When I'm picking a life partner she better love me as much as I love her. So when I'm picking a daily there better be complaints, but that one thing.. the driving experience better be the best of the best.

If you know your car and how it behaves, i am pretty sure you can drive it in the snow. Manual gives you full control of your car. It was fun

Sounds like you starved the motor. Definitely a owner problem l, f20c's don't throw rods through blocks in any normal cases.

I daily a track built MR2 spyder. It has all of the same issues that he mentions. But it's absolutely glorious, and everything else feels numb!

I did for 16 years. The reality is that at 70, it's very noisy, and the ride can be harsh on bad sections.
