Could you please explain in detail about "consume in American lifestyle" & "consume in Indian lifestyle"? I'm Indonesian live in Jakarta. In Jakarta I only eat 1 cup rice + 1 kind of protein + some vegetables for lunch. And it's enough for me until evening. I only eat rice for lunch. Sometimes I eat noodles or pasta to replace rice on lunch. For breakfast either I eat bread or cereal+milk and for dinner, only chips or biscuits is enough. By this way of my consumption, my weight is always in control in Jakarta. But everytime I come to Mumbai (India), my lunch will be variative. In one thali (Indian plate) my food is 4-5 pcs of Parathe (or other Indian roti) + many kinds of protein (e.g. Chicken tikka+Fish Tandoori) + many kinds of vegetables (e.g. Bhindi/okra+Palak Paneer+Baingan/eggplant) + Achar (Indian style of pickles). You can say "Just eat rice+protein like you do in Jakarta". Yup, I did. I have Chicken Biryani. And you know, in restaurants Biryani (veg or non-veg) is always served Bottomless. The waiters monitor customer's plates. When waiters see our plate is almost empty, they come by bring a bucket of Biryani & serve to our plate. Well, I only eat Biryani until 2 batch but men can eat Biryani until 3-4 batch. Thanks to consume in Indian lifestyle, I always gain 5 kg weight after return from India.

No one should have more than one child and if you have few resources or do not strongly want a child, have none. I cringe when I see parents with more than one child, and especially with three children-it is so selfish.

No worries, there is no over population going on, that was overturned with the help of economics. Families are maximum having 2 kids and some no kids at all, so they are not even replacing themselves anymore. World has always had calamities but this is the first time we all get the news as they happen because of the internet. Western countries which are said to be developed countries have less environmental resources like forests and biodiversity, they are trying to exploit the resources of under developing countries and they use more resources though they have less population also waste the resources (food,water) indiscriminately. I'm Indonesian live in Jakarta. In Jakarta I only eat 1 cup rice + 1 kind of protein + some vegetables for lunch. And it's enough for me until evening. I only eat rice for lunch. Sometimes I eat noodles or pasta to replace rice on lunch. For breakfast either I eat bread or cereal+milk and for dinner, only chips or biscuits is enough. By this way of my consumption, my weight is always in control in Jakarta. But everytime I come to Mumbai (India), my lunch will be variative. In one thali (Indian plate) my food is 4-5 pcs of Parathe (or other Indian roti) + many kinds of protein (e.g. Chicken tikka+Fish Tandoori) + many kinds of vegetables (e.g. Bhindi/okra+Palak Paneer+Baingan/eggplant) + Achar (Indian style of pickles). You can say "Just eat rice+protein like you do in Jakarta". Yup, I did. I have Chicken Biryani. And you know, in restaurants Biryani (veg or non-veg) is always served Bottomless. The waiters monitor customer's plates. When waiters see our plate is almost empty, they come by bring a bucket of Biryani & serve to our plate. Well, I only eat Biryani until 2 batch but men can eat Biryani until 3-4 batch. Thanks to consume in Indian lifestyle, I always gain 5 kg weight after return from India.

No worries, there is no over population going on, that was overturned with the help of economics. Families are maximum having 2 kids and some no kids at all, so they are not even replacing themselves anymore. Sadhguru is trying to convince people that ..what he is saying is the whole truth and nothing but the truth. He has the right to his perspective however it is not the holy grail. Life itself has it's own wisdom beyond Sadhguru, he is only a part of it ...for only a very short time!

Here,the problem is both increasing population and decreasing resources. So only controlling of population of china and india will not work. Western countries which are said to be developed countries have less environmental resources like forests and biodiversity, they are trying to exploit the resources of under developing countries and they use more resources though they have less population also waste the resources (food,water) indiscriminately.
So we must focus on the creating balance between population and resources.
And we can say the goal can be achieved by controlling the population as well as sustain use of resources.
ENVIRONMENTAL RESOURCES inversely Proportional to the POPULATION
And one other thing, if people can live in harmony with nature restrict their lifestyle it could be a game changer.
I am sure Sadguru knows very well that there is abundant land on this planet that can be utilised to produce enough food to feed 10 billion people. If people are not jammed up in small areas of the planet, then there would be enough living space for 10 billion people.
If this not a fact, then Sadguru should let me know. Who is knows how much resources there is on the planet?
Humans are not the only species worthy of consideration. We have become caretakers for many species.

The Venus Project, the anti desertification project in china, the water management and harvesting project in Radjastan. e.g.: if Bangladesh will realize some kind of the venus project as blueprint it could be one of the most richest and prosperous country on planet. The solutions are already around us and out there - let us realize them on global scale.

To do that you have to cancel the religions that say you have to make as much children as possible. Historically the politicians who use these religions invented this approach to have more population under their control for different purposes. But now this approach is a threat to the humanity as a whole. The new approach has to be that people take responsibility for how much children a family can have.
Increase the standard of living and birth rate will diminish. But how? By providing affordable energy.

Cities are crowded but the earth isn’t. The entire population of the earth could stand comfortably side-by-side and fit in about an area the size of Connecticut. Not all land is habitable today, but in the future people will be able to live just about anywhere not only on the earths surface but even on the oceans. As we learn to live better we will have plenty of room on this planet.
Sadguru has even talked about “rewarding” women who r willingly decide not to have kids, my question to Sadguru is about social security which is absent in India, whenever I tell my friends about my thoughts of not having kids their only concern is social security, who will tc of me when I fall ill, need assistance/on my death bed? It’s about dependency, even relatives wouldn’t want me to become a liability on them or their kids, in foreign countries their govt tc of them but I don’t have an answer for this..so I don’t need a “reward” frm Sadguru just answer of this question.

Family Planning in Indonesia launched on 80's era. Me&my family are Muslims. I born on 1990 & I'm the only child of my parents. My uncles (mom's siblings) have 2 children. I remember when I was Primary School student on 1997 the Census Report stated Indonesia population is 200 millions people. Last time Census on 2020 Indonesia population is 275 millions. Thanks to COVID19, now our population becomes 270 millions.

Wars, natural disasters and diseases are inevitable. Famine, draught, and flooding are artificially engineered. Infertility treatment will be encouraged in the developing countries including India. Our actions, even having children as natural as it may seem, should not mean a burden for the Planet or for other creatures. There are a lot of successful women out their who are not able to become pregnant. Many fathers, family caretakers, out there are better as 80% of all mothers.
