⚡️Fab Lab Barcelona is an education, innovation and research centre committed to rethinking the way we live, work and play in cities. Central to this vision is creating a more circular economy which takes into account systems of waste and how we might reduce or reuse raw materials. This tutorial is one example of our ongoing research into creating biomaterials from waste.

Wonderful. Thank you for sharing. What material did you use for the waterproof fabric?
thank you! what can I use instead of avocado dye? and is it necessary?
any natural dye liquid or any colorant of your choice, food colorants also work well
what can you add to avoid wrinkling when squeezed?
In order to that, should be pretty use glycerine? or is it okay if not?hehe
if you don t put glycerine, the biomaterial will not be elastic
Do you use ovacado waste pulp after oil extraction
yes, I use it as a filler in the other recipes with avocado to make "bricks"
What is it actually used for?
it can be used for packaging or as a bioplastic film
I dont have dehydrator or radiator, what can i substitute?
can i use an oven as a substitute for dehydrator?
why do you need to dehydrate that? can i use a substitute for that?
because it creates cold otherwise
how to make my own avacado dye?
Check out this video ruclips.net/video/B_o5bpXIKjg/видео.html :)
is It edible?
potentially it could be edible, but I am not sure if the avocado dye has a ice taste. also it has a lot of glycerin, which is not so tasty either
@@anastasiapistofidou4078 Can you put some flavors, like salt to make it more tasty?
@@laurenbru3736 of course! you can also check recipes of molecular gastronomy for that
is it waterproof?
It is not 100% waterproof. It will be able to absorb water but it does not dissolve
Why glycerine is used and why the mix is heated. Couldn't it be done by cold method?
the agar needs to be heated to gelify. if you are looking for a cold recipe you can check the other recipe of sodium alginate
Que se puede hacer con ese material ❓
