    Only Aurora has the genius to be able to include a 16 bar face melting accordion solo and have it be the most natural thing in the world.

    I love how many different time periods she takes from. 80’s, 40’s, even the early 2000s with This Could be a Dream….. and of course from her own magical world outside of time!

    I have seen other reactions to this album on RUclips. Your reaction and insight is by far the best. I like how Aurora doesn't get stuck in producing "cookie cutter" music and songs. Every one has a different and expressive feel that demonstrates her true emotions and artistry. Great stuff. Thanks.

    A little place called the moon made me cry, I'm not sure why, it was definitely tears of joy, It's nostalgic, beautiful, and it's a perfect wrap up, all the emotion from the previous songs just hits you all at once.

    My 2 favorites: "The Innocent" and "This Could Be A Dream" (one of the most beautiful songs ever), but both "You Keep Me Crawling" and "Blood In The Wine" is very close to the 2 top ones.
    You Keep Me Crawling is really like a Bond song, and Blood In The Wine is a song for a western movie. We need Aurora to make music for some major triple a movies.

    • @roegoleg

      Speaking of spies, You Keep Me Crawling reminds me of the ending credits song by Moby in the Bourne Ultimatum called Extreme Ways.

    This is my favorite album of hers ever. It is the most cohesive in terms of theming and message. The others are phenomenal as well but not as good with theming as this. I also love the vocals and production.
    Blood in the wine because my most listening to song on Spotify of all time within 3 weeks of album release and I have had Spotify for over 4 years now. It is so folky, primal, feral, and cinematic with hints not almost country/western with rock. These are my favorite types of sounds from her. I am also a big fan of her belting, full chest voice, and belt/ mix sounds which she doesn’t use in all of her songs. My second favorite from the album is You Keep me crawling which uses those techniques

    I like your reactions! I agree, it is too good for us. I think all of her songs have so many layers. One specific I can think of, towards the end of "Exhale Inhale" sounds to me/makes me feel like I'm twirling and swirling and floating. Since you've heard it, after listening to Exist for Love, you should listen to Potion for Love.

    • @EvolveSongwriting
      @EvolveSongwriting  2 года назад +3

      I can tell you that songwriting in the modern day is A LOT about those things rather than the lyrics. Take a song like Despacito - Global hit and not in English for the most part. What makes it so successful is the catchy melodies, the beat, the instruments etc.

  • @lourdesgaray6760
    @lourdesgaray6760 Год назад +4

    The instrument she uses in Artemis is not an accordion, is a bandoneon and the music is inspired in Argentinian tango, more specificaly in Astor Piazzolla's music. If you liked this, I really reccomend you lo listen to his music

    Great review :) ... Fyi, in Artemis, it's not an accordion, it's a bandoneon ;) EDIT : highlights for me, Everything Matters, Blood in the wine, and A little place called the moon. And if you're not aware of it, she linked every song with a greek god or goddess. Let me know if you need the list, she made a quiz about it last autumn, I still have the results saved somewhere :D

    • @EvolveSongwriting
      @EvolveSongwriting  2 года назад +8

      TIL the difference between an accordion and bandoneon XD thanks for the insight. That is SO COOL about each song being linked to a different god. Just looked into it and it gives each song so much more context, I love it!

      NASA's mission back to the Moon is called "Artemis" and "We are going to the moon" (A Little Place Called The Moon), and in Artemis she sings: "I always wondered why they all, came back for more!" (back to Artemis goddess of The Moon).
