To not include a capacitive touchscreen in this day and age is inexcusable, especially at this price point.
Friend had this headunit and while the screen isn’t very good imo, the features / sound adjustment are significantly better than the Sony competition. There’s just so many in depth audio controls.

Yes ..screen same as my 430BT from 2017.. Also.. might add that the clockwise counterclockwise gesture volume control is not so new. Mine has it.. but is a great feature none the less. Great vid as always. 👊😎
I have this unit installed in my 2019 chevy colorado. The screen quality is not good especially the glare from sunlight but the sound quality and customization is over the top! I chose this over the Kenwood echelon with no regrets. Running a 5 channel 1000w fosgate amplifier infinity kappa door speakers and a ground zero 12' sub. Could not be happier.
I chose its bigger brother the jvc kw1000 over kenwood no regrets jvc has more features than kenwood

Are there any of these head units with matte screens
The most overlooked thing with this head unit is the 5 volt preouts. Im a serious car audio nut and 5v preouts makes a night and day difference compared to lower volt preouts.

Why did JVC make you press the Android Auto icon on the headunit to start AA wirelessly? Wireless Carplay starts automatically with no manual intervention.
0:56 I don’t like these microphones. Does anyone know of adapters to plug the microphone that came with the car to after market head units? Or if there is a way to plug better microphones?
I don't believe there is typically a way to use the factory mic unless you want to figure out how it's setup and start cutting and splicing wires. The plug is a simple 3.5mm, 2 conductor, jack so you could in theory use any microphone you want with it.
Go to crutchfield, they sell a variety of factory to after market harnesses
@@madmatt2024 Can't you theoretically just find the wire to the factory mic and splice into that and plug that into the back of the aftermarket radio? Or am I missing something? I wanna use my hidden factory mic not something attached to my sun visor.

.I hate to say this but my android atoto s8 pro has mirroring dsp apps and best of all OPTICAL OUTPUT plus aptx hd.... not saying it's the best but damn it's been good so far
As explained and shown in the video, it has built in mirroring for iPhone or Android. Wireless/USB for Android. USB for iPhone. The adapter is just another method of mirroring
What preamp output voltage is good for amplifier/subwoofers?
Was this head units magic number 30? Like at 31 it clips? Just asking so I don't have to check mine with the o scope lol
We were stopping at volume 30 in our speaker level tests. 29 would probably be a bit cleaner

Mine will not connect to apple car play wirelessly because it says the speed test connector must be connected but it connects to my husbands android wirelessly and no issues. Also, is there are way to dim the screen? It’s super bright and distracting while driving at night. I had a so called professional install it but it takes a long time time to even connect my phone with the usb. It takes multiple tries at plugging it in and out to connect. Also, the Bluetooth connection just buffers even when my phone is connected. It’s frustrating that my iPhone won’t connect but his android connects as soon as the car turns on. What am I missing?

i dont get it just add a mobile processor and the system will be so responsive. I mean how is my phone more responsive that those. has to be some cost saving..
It's probably because the major manufacturers don't want to run Android on their head units so they continue to use their own OS which takes some time to get right. I have a Joying Android head unit with an 8 core ARM CPU and 4gb of ram, it's so smooth and responsive, its actually faster than my phone.

No longer possible, JVC has had two price increases and these haven’t been available for 8 months from them.
I love the lack of buttons on this unit. Makes it seem more symmetrical. The lack of a capacitive touch screen however, I do not like. I don’t understand why manufacturers aren’t mass installing capacitive screens in their head units, especially with a 600 dollar price tag

I just don't understand why these HU look at feel like they were designed in 1998
I used kenwood ddx 719 at first, and then changed JVC m960 BW, except there is no CD player, there are no other problems. Originally, I also felt that the resistance screen might not work well. After changing JVC, I felt that it was even better than the capacitive screen of DDX719 should be sensitive, which may be related to CPU (I guess)
BIGGG QUESTION. can I mirror my iPad to it?? If so I'm sold
the only thing i dont like about it the audio you have to turn it almost max to get good bass

You "CAN" but the resolution is so bad that you'll feel like it's 2005. Not to mention the mirroring software via USB is pretty horrible... Your phone screen has about 20x better resolution
