THANK YOU! I’ve watched so many how-to Tidal videos, none are as detailed and precise and clear.. Shame there hasn’t been more views, but I’ll be sharing.
We recently moved our 60 gallon tank to a new house and when we set it back up, the filter would not run! I found your video and followed the cleaning instructions, and it started working again! Thanks for the great info!
Enjoyed the video. I suggest adding cleaning the flow control compartment box. That is the part I needed to clean on my Tidal 110 (Gurgle Meister). There is another video on another channel with this step. I am unloading my Tidal 110 - and after years of operation, there was sone gunk in that compartment that I could not get to throught the bottom. It is easy to remove, remove the basket clip - and the compartment cover snap loose from the top with the flow control stick. The video I saw was about issues with the 110 and bent or damaged flow stick controls. But, you video was very useful too!
I have a Tidal 75 that makes a rattling noise. I have taken it apart several times as you have instructed and I can't get the rattling to stop. My motor unit runs quiet when I run it in a bucket by itself. There must be an issue with connecting it back onto the filter that something is not right. Very frustrating as I have now had to take it off my tank due to the noise.
One fish got stuck on the top intake, getting sucked in. To prevent this turn the bottom dial clock wise right, to turn the bottom intake on more right?
The Bottom Dial only opens or closes the Tube. The Main Intake is the front vertical slots, what people think is the "Surface Skimmer". There is a secondary Intake grill to the Right of the Tube. The upper Dial controls the Flow Rate. This is Identical for the 55, 75, and 110. The 35 doesn't have a Tube just two grills.
I have purchased 4 of these Seacom units. Two are Tital 75 and the other are Tital 55. The Tital 55 units run smooth and no noise except the flowing water. The Tital 75 is on a 60- gallon aquarium tank. It is making a cracking sound. I have torn it apart several times and even purchased a second unit which had the same water cracking sound. I have purchased another propeller and greased it with petroleum jelly with no apparent results. Can someone give me an answer why this is happening. The only way the cracking noise goes away is when I dial the flow down to about 10%. Doing that will not filter the water so that is not an option.
I don't know why so many people say don't rinse your filter media in tap water. That is just a lie I've been rinsing all my tanks media in tap water for 50 years has never been a problem. I own a couple title filters and never had one stop working but did have to replace a motor due to the worn out impeller. But these are great filters
Thank you so much, this fixed my filter!! There was sludge deep in the propeller part. We only had it for 4 months, so happy!

My 55 was barely moving water, followed these instructions and it’s working like new!

Mine was making a clicking noise. Took everything apart and cleaned it all. **water level was too low**. It was only like 2 inches below the top.
Mine is leaks in the front by flow adjuster. It leaks forward and into tank but still.
Thanks ❤
