Why would he take his dog on a hike on a hot day. 🤦🏻‍♀️ I’m happy he is okay. Lesson learned buddy.

Respect to the rescue people, and respect to the family , they learned a lesson and seem like great people who care for their dog. Hope he makes full recovery and is back being a talkative husky!

Take care of their dog? They were neglectful careless owners that nearly cost the dog it's life for no other reason than they can't think. Dogs DO NOT sweat. And huskies, a breed for COLD WEATHER, have a double coat that means they overheat faster than a smooth or single coated dog.

Huskies are meant for the cold not extreme heat.
Glad you got your dog ok!
I can’t imagine how scared you must have been..

Please be mindful of their sensitive paws on the scorching hot pavement.

People are so stupid, clueless, and have zero common sense these days. If it’s scorching hot outside who thinks , yeah ima take my dog who has a FUR COAT and has their bare paws on the burning hot floor on a 1hr+ hike? Seriously I hope people wake up and gain some common sense

I've seen people bringing their pugs on hikes. That's like torture for them.

    Common mistakes:
    - Fur coats in the heat.
    - Bare paws on hot ground.
    - Off leash.
    - Insufficient water.
    - No bags to pick up 💩
    - Can’t bother carrying the bags, then forgetting them on the way back
    - No flea/tick treatment

      COMMON sense.
But so many people walk their dogs in extreme heat, and off leash in trails.
Your dog sees a wild squirrel and it chases that thing off a cliff, that's ALLLL on you.
KEEP YOUR DOG ON A LEASH PEOPLE !

    • @SlimJim-bw3ib
      @SlimJim-bw3ib Месяц назад +1

To be fair to this guy, seems like he had his dog on a leash, just ran out of water.
But should have thought twice going hiking with a dog in hot weather.
Their body temperature is higher than humans.

@@SlimJim-bw3ib I was just listing what I’ve seen… and learned the hard way to not do.
But… he was carrying the dog and stumbled. If he had a leash in hand, it might have limited the fall, but that assumes a firm grip, which is easy to lose when you’re falling.

@@ricksonora6656 No, I agree with you completely. Just a general guideline for EVERY dog owners out there.
Having your dog on a leash might be the easiest out of that list, and yet, from my own observation, I'd say a GOOOD 25~30% of the people can't be bothered to do it.
      # is ALOT higher when you go to an area populated by young adults.
At least older people seem to understand the many potential scenarios that can result from having an off leash dog, not to mention obedience to laws.
      Young people? Can't be bothered.

People having pets that they haven't a clue how to care for. Do your research. The pet suffers if you don't.

    Huskies were bred for cold-weather.
It was 80 degrees when the dog passed out. Learn about the breed first.

Why to hell would anyone take their dog on a rugged hike on a burning hot day? Dogs do not have sweat glands and they have fur!! The only way they can “sweat” is from their tongue. Geez! Use some common sense people!!

And honestly besides the heat plz dont take ur dog hiking by cliffs moutains lakes oe where there are wild animals anything dangerous ever anything can happen and most dumb people take their eyes off thier pets its not worth it ever. They r happy just being in their neighborhoods dog parks ect. So many people make these negligent errors its horrific. So happy they rescued their baby and hes ok and its a happy endng 💖💝

The family is very stupid for taking a husky dog out in the heat on a long walk and then running out of water. Stupidity at its worst. Huskies are meant for cold weather so taking it in the heat is beyond ignorant.
