Accountability is the most important thing with mental health. People spend all day scrolling social media and stay up til 5am every night and wonder why they are depressed
Asim was brilliant in people just do nothing, really brought the character to life and created a funny character with a lot of depth for a comedy.
I suffered from panic attacks for around 3 years, I remember the worst one, was a weird one, I was on the tube platform on a quiet afternoon and felt a hand on my shoulder, turned around and nobody was there, I just brain farted and went full panic mode, questioning my own head, ended up getting on the train in tears and couldn’t breath, two strangers basically carried me off the tube and up to fresh air at the next station.
I genuinely thought I was going to die

'ride a panic attack.' I really like that, because the tendency is to try and flee it or deny/prevent it somehow, ride it really flips it around. Really nice to see such open self aware chat on these matters! :)

I only started watching PJDN after the final series finished but I instantly fell in love with it and the chabuddy character and I searched out other projects Asim had worked on and watched those and he is honestly one of my favourite people within the comedy world now. He is brilliant in everything in appears in, regardless of whether that’s a full series starring role or he only pops in for one or two episodes. He seems like one of the most humble, likeable and approachable people in telly/movies as well and I’m delighted for all his continued success. I would be delighted if he made an appearance on happy hour once a year haha!

Totally understand the panic attack thing firsthand. I used to get them when teaching in class and you've got to ride it out.. I used to tell myself "if I'm not dead in an hour, everything will be ok" Big respect from Heston

so after he started to explain the social anxiety and how he had 3 panic attacks the day he went on Jhonathan Ross (lol) and watching that i have an immense amount of respect for Asim. That performance he puts on is so spectacular and just a whole crazy level of control regarding his acting skills.
