As you may or may not know, Taiwan is a very special country to us both, because it’s Claire’s cultural country of origin! This group trip would mark Claire’s seventh time returning to Taiwan and Chad’s third time back, and we would be so delighted to host you (and 11 others) on an 8-day adventure around the entire island!
We’ve decided to host the trip entirely on our own alongside a local Taiwanese tour agency, and this decision has allowed us to craft our dream trip to Taiwan. We’ve been able to choose every 4-star and 5-star hotel and every activity and destination for the entire week, so it will truly be a quintessential "Chad and Claire" adventure (just with more luxurious accommodations haha). Think “good food, outdoor adventures, and cultural experiences!” If all that’s up your alley, then this trip is for you!
The trip is going to take place at the end of this year, from December 14 to December 21, and it will be with a small group of 14 people (the both of us plus 12 other travelers). All transportation, accommodations, activities, and breakfasts have been included in the price, and we only require a non-refundable deposit at sign-up! The remainder of the payment doesn’t have to be paid until October 14.
For the past two months or so, we’ve poured hours into not only planning this group trip, but also compiling a number of helpful resources that will give you further insight on what all to expect. In addition to this informative launch video, we also have a thorough info packet that will share the day-to-day itinerary for the full trip, the route around the whole country, what to pack, how to pay the deposit, and so much more. We highly recommend that you watch this video AND read through the info packet before signing up for the trip!

Wonderful idea to host a trip and beautifully thought out itinerary. I love Taiwan and have been there many times. There is so much to see and do and the food is out of this world. I have no doubt you guys will be amazing hosts and your guests will love the trip!
Joining you guys on a trip would be a dream! Sad though that my ancestors always whisper on my ear that everything is too expensive. Lol. My visits to Taiwan are all wayyyy below that. But I understand that this isn’t a dyi trip. So, costs are justified. I really do hope this will be successful and y’all will have a great time with the people joining you! There are lots of creative culture parks like 松菸, 華山文創 in Tpe, so does other cities in Tw. Arty n fun. can go take a look. 大稻埕old district also has lots of interesting stuff to look around.❤

Tarako National park was damaged by the April 3rd earthquake, and it is uncertain if it will reopen by the end of this year. You may want to contact the office of Tarako National park for more information.
Yes! This is true. We are hoping that it will be open by the end of the year but if it is not, the tour will be altered to accommodate.

Hey!! You have a great memory! We decided to cancel that trip due to a lack of bookings, but also the provider was having issues with some itenerary requests we had made.

Hey Jade! Claire’s parents immigrated to america when they were teenagers and in their early twenties! They are originally from Taiwan.

Hi chad and claire. Is there an age requirement for this trip? Also, for solo travelers, will we be sharing rooms with other solo travelers?
Hey! We recommend 18 plus and solo travelers will be sharing a room, but if a solo room is requested it can be given for an additional fee. But with that said. If you book the trip and no other solo traveler joins you will be given a solo room.
Does the price include round trip airfare?
