Your car is locked, therefore it won't engage the electronic trunk release. There is most likely an issue with your keyless remote. Try replacing the battery first.

You think thats bad just wait until you pull out one day, it dies and want start and battery dies trying to start it again, then you can't even push it back into driveway because the steering wheel want turn. 🤷♀️Good times lol!😒🧐
Use the key that is supposed to be located in the fob to manually unlock the door. The battery that is in the fob (battery cr2032) needs to be replaced.
This has actually been happening to me . I unlock my car , but my trunk still doesn’t open . I even try pressing that same button and it still won’t open . Plus there’s like an oval button on my trunk that should unlock my trunk , but it still doesn’t open . I have to press over and over and over and over again just for my trunk to open . Any help ?
u can buy a battery for u key fob at walmart for less then 5 dollars, also its a key inside ur key for that i can use to enter ur car... and inside the car its a botton that u can touch that give electricity to ur rear door good luck

It went into arbitration and car was found to be a lemon, I won and got a replacement car

Ummmm it looks like your key is not in the Fob so that’s why it won’t open

Lemon case, they replaced a brand new car for me
It was a lemon and I won the case and they rewarded me with a brand new replacement newer model.
