A how to video in case anyone has the same type factory 20" rims and wanted to make them look a whole lot better without spending a fortune. This is how I did it.
this is exactly what i wanted to ddl but didn't no how so thank you for the step by step I'm going to be doing this to my 2016 ram 1500 sport white and can't wait!
Bro seriously.... Great video.... ! And good to know I'm not the only one who likes the inside of the barrel to have NO dip.... I liked how you taped it off.... (gonna steal that idea) I did it a much harder way.
I got to thank you sir for putting up this video of a very neat job. I'm about to two tone plasti dip my wheels leaving the chrome like yours. Was going to use tape but see cutting gives a far superior finish due to waiting longer for drying.
So after two months everything is still holding up great. No peeling. It lost a little bit of its original shine, but I found that using armorall on them seems to shine it the best.
Looks good, not sure it's my personal taste for the two tone but I'm glad you like it! How's the durability after two years? I have a 14 Ram sport, I'd like to black out the rims, seems like a way cheaper option than painting/powder coating.
Great Video,, you gave me the idea to do the same thing to my chrome escalade wheels before next winter,, Although I will be taping the insert parts of my wheels instead of taking a razor to them,, I would end up carving some news design patterns on my wheels, lol
I like the look. Good job.😊Im going to try the opposite, I have all gloss black wheels, but it needs the machined finish look so will be shooting the factory silver color on the wheel spokes and masking off the parts I want to keep black.
Great job. I do suggest however that you put quarters in your lug nut holes. That way you don't get Plasti dip in them and you don't have to tape them off. I'm doing something like this to my Porsche this week.
For more subtle touches, add red pin stripes along the diameter of the rim or down the each side of the spokes. Then add the DODGE red vinyl stickers to the aluminum.
That looks super awesome! I gotta say though I dont think its gunna last long. If you hit them rims with the wand at the car wash...they gunna peal ...sooner or later.
I am just seeing this 9 years later. I assume you no longer have truck. Can you tell us how long these lasted or if after so many years they had any issues.?
Post a pic of the reverse look. With the black stripes. The stickers may not be the way but thinking of plasti-dipping the stripes and leaving the polished aluminum exposed. Good video
truck looks good bro,i the same one 2016 sport btw those caliper covers look great on your truck i been looking at some myself. .thinking about going with the yellow caliper covers for alil contrast off the red.
First off, GREAT JOB! It does look really good. I have never played around with Plasti-Dip but I was wondering if you have taken it through a car wash? Does that ruin plasti-dip?
Looks good man. I'm trying to do the same thing on my 18in Jeep Sahara OEM rims. I was thinking of keeping the insides grey (they are basically circles on the inside) but not sure if the original paint on the rims would look good so I might have to do a separate paint job. How would you go about do that?
I think this is one of the best looking rim jobs painted with plasti Dip.
Bringing tires inside to finish is the content I'm here for great job brotha.
So glad you posted this, going to work on something similar tomorrow. Thanks for the blade idea
They look REALLY good. Attention to detail is so important.
The contrast of the two tones really makes the rims pop out! Looks good bruh!
Really good job on the rims. Prepping is the most important part to painting/dipping. Looks Awesome. Thanks for tips.
this is exactly what i wanted to ddl but didn't no how so thank you for the step by step I'm going to be doing this to my 2016 ram 1500 sport white and can't wait!
Had this same idea with my challenger wheels. I'm a little more confident in doing them now. Thanks
Man brother that looks great, good job makes you smile when you walk up to it doesn’t it?

I got to say, with the raised white letters the red Hemi calipers and your rims that really looks sweet🤙😎🤘
Attention to detail.

Really good job man gave me some inspiration to get mine done
Bro, you couple have used the decals as covers and then do a wet peel on the last coat instead of cutting all those grooves.
Looks great man! Got this from ramfourumz.
Looks good man!
Man did you really cut directly on that chrome? You could have just taped off those grooves and peeled it off when wet.
Nice work!
That's looks great
Thanks. Wanting to do this to me 2019 Jetta wheels.
How long did you wait before peeling it off?
