it appears the video is for people familiar with the concepts already, and appreciate the differences between SQL vs the SQL Server implementation. but title make it sounds like a beginner video for SQL.
I agree. I'm here because I was sent a link to it from a beginner's course I'm on. WAY too high-level for us newbies! The comments near the end about the security benefits of Stored procedures is the best take-away for me at the stage I'm at.
And as always... great video! I am praying for my colleagues to understand... I am a DEV, not a DBA, I understand the encapsulation principle, but when you run into the reality I do not understand why perversely DEVs gone into that way... and complaining that queries are slow...
