All me baby!
So glad you're doing tutorials again, was missing those.
This video is great. Gave me something new and simple to try. I love sci-fi and I like to draw. But when it comes to inspiration on what to draw, my mind just comes to a halt. Thank you.
Glad you found it useful!
Ahh of my goodness I've bee looking all over for a video about how to draw spaceships from a person with good technical skills and AHHH this is really helpful!!!
I'm very happy to read that ^_^
Super cool and instructive video, more of this!
Excellent video! I love the part where you explained "the function of a thing". This is very important for beginners to understand the structure of a thing! Please do more videos like this: breakdown things, gather ideas, how-to build from ideas, etc...
Thanks glad you like it. I'll try my best to do more.
Great work. Thanks Laslo!!
Glad you enjoyed it!
always helpful to get some insight from a skilled practitioner's methodology, ty!
Glad you like it!
Excellent video, I found the part where you talk about gathering style reference especially helpful!
Thank you, I'm very happy to read that!
Brilliant video! 🎉
Thank you!
A well thought out video
Thank you!
@@robertlkiss ok, so you had to put a penis shaped cup in the background and then blure it? Creative thinking! :D
btw, this shows how attentively I was listening so I haven't even noticed that background detail
wow, what a great and fun vid! thanks
Thank you for the kind words!
Great video. I’ve been watching a few of these. Spaceship design is something I’ve always wanted to do. But I struggle with it. Mostly at the detail stage of the process. Could you do another video and go into depth a bit more on how and why you create all the panel lines and greebles? Maybe on a larger ship?
Hope my other video with that topic answered your questions :)
Sick
I have to understand per-what now? 😉 Fantastic vid and very informative as always. Using a style ref sheet is a great idea as is creating a universe and filling it with different needs, some ships maybe deep exploration ships and others transports, each requiring different styles of support vessels. I really liked the last design, it had a pleasing aesthetic to it that really caught my eye. Look forward to the next amazing video……maybe you’ll un-blur the cup next time 😂
Yes exactly, it's about coming up with different roles for ships in that world. That is my fav part about ship design.
❤
LMFAO dont know how i missed it the first time. When i detected it did look familiar ahahahha
Egy kicsit jobb lett az akcentusod mostanra. Sok sikert!
Koszi!
That was very cool and helpful, thanks!
Happy to read that!
bestest weejo
Much love!
Erm a weird one
What about designing something... modular.
For context I want to build multiple assets that connect but can change.
A bit like a character builder but for a ship. Is there a way you'd tackle this?
I would do what I did in the 1st part of the video, that is pretty much a modular design.
@robertlkiss Just box it all up and keep playing with shapes?
Keep it simple and refined when I've outlined the basic 'blocks'
It's weird that I didn't related the beginning bit to modular, but maybe I'm thinking about my own project in a different way 😅 or that I'm confining myself too much
Alright i guess i'll do it since nobody did: what did you censor at the beginning of the video on the shelf on your right side? You thought we wouldn't notice huh?
Go to minute 3:55 and you will see what it is :)
Do you use Pro-Create for your drawings?
I believe he uses Sketchbook Pro
Why don't you take a look at my video from 3 weeks ago? ;)
Instructions unclear. I created a spaceship for SpaceX.
I am a bit lost, it's my first time drawing a spaceship or anything, i really like drawing but i don't know how to practice, should i just draw random spaceship many times on my own?or copy from reference first 🤔
Help i need an advice guys 😂
Both :) if you are new I would lean on using reference and once you have a good visual lobrary do more from imagination.
@@robertlkiss thank you 😊❤️ i'll work hard from now on
Minimum viable elements sounds an awful lot like minimum viable product which makes me think you're a dev. If so, hello fellow dev person!
Not dev, industrial designer we use minimum viable product all the time
❤
