    This video is great. Gave me something new and simple to try. I love sci-fi and I like to draw. But when it comes to inspiration on what to draw, my mind just comes to a halt. Thank you.

    Excellent video! I love the part where you explained "the function of a thing". This is very important for beginners to understand the structure of a thing! Please do more videos like this: breakdown things, gather ideas, how-to build from ideas, etc...

      @@robertlkiss ok, so you had to put a penis shaped cup in the background and then blure it? Creative thinking! :D
      btw, this shows how attentively I was listening so I haven't even noticed that background detail

    Great video. I’ve been watching a few of these. Spaceship design is something I’ve always wanted to do. But I struggle with it. Mostly at the detail stage of the process. Could you do another video and go into depth a bit more on how and why you create all the panel lines and greebles? Maybe on a larger ship?

    I have to understand per-what now? 😉 Fantastic vid and very informative as always. Using a style ref sheet is a great idea as is creating a universe and filling it with different needs, some ships maybe deep exploration ships and others transports, each requiring different styles of support vessels. I really liked the last design, it had a pleasing aesthetic to it that really caught my eye. Look forward to the next amazing video……maybe you’ll un-blur the cup next time 😂

      @robertlkiss  9 месяцев назад +1

      Yes exactly, it's about coming up with different roles for ships in that world. That is my fav part about ship design.

    Erm a weird one
    What about designing something... modular.
    For context I want to build multiple assets that connect but can change.
    A bit like a character builder but for a ship. Is there a way you'd tackle this?

    • @robertlkiss
      @robertlkiss  2 месяца назад +1

      I would do what I did in the 1st part of the video, that is pretty much a modular design.

    • @humanname1458
      @humanname1458 2 месяца назад

      @robertlkiss Just box it all up and keep playing with shapes?
      Keep it simple and refined when I've outlined the basic 'blocks'
      It's weird that I didn't related the beginning bit to modular, but maybe I'm thinking about my own project in a different way 😅 or that I'm confining myself too much

    Alright i guess i'll do it since nobody did: what did you censor at the beginning of the video on the shelf on your right side? You thought we wouldn't notice huh?

    I am a bit lost, it's my first time drawing a spaceship or anything, i really like drawing but i don't know how to practice, should i just draw random spaceship many times on my own?or copy from reference first 🤔
    Help i need an advice guys 😂

    • @robertlkiss
      @robertlkiss  9 месяцев назад +1

      Both :) if you are new I would lean on using reference and once you have a good visual lobrary do more from imagination.
