This band deserves more recognition
This song feels like a love song, but it could also double as a song about addiction.
I got that feeling as well. As an addict, this song hits me hard. Reminds me where I was and where I am now
An addiction to love. He can't quit his girl as hard as he tries
If it's a love song, it's one with some serious toxic baggage. I read it as addiction myself. He keeps coming back to her, not because it's necessarily the right thing to do, but because he feels like he has to and he can't break that cycle.

This hits home hard. Lost a friend, she didn't win her final fight with cancer. My grandmother lost it all with Alzheimer's, my aunt was on the final stage of lung cancer.
I didn't fulfill promises to make their lives easier, I took life for granted, I didn't say goodbye when she was on her death bed, I avoided being near out of fear for losing someone again.
Thank you so much for your music, it's helped find the moments of peace that I have needed. I struggle, but I know things will still be okay.
