I am Leo rising with the Sun in Capricorn 6H conjunct North Node and Part of Fortune. When I found out the meaning of the rising and what is my sign, I was blown away. Because the Leo traits are 1000% my personality, character and who I am. I am very solar person, and I love all solar things, and a lot of people tell me that I am super sunny.
In fact, when I was younger, I loved to sit in the sun and soak up the sun beams, getting depressed for the fall season and the winter.
I never go back to identifying myself as Capricorn, although Capricorn traits are the ones I see of big value and the ones I would love to possess more of

My Leo rising is soooo strong that it seems to overpower my Cancer sun & Scorpio moon even though I’m still incredibly sensitive & I embrace that, no one ever guesses me as a Cancer lol!

Hi! I have very similar placements as you. Leo rising, Taurus sun in 10th house and Taurus Mercury in the 9th house. My dad is so difficult and my mom is unfortunately caught up in all the drama. As you said, I feel protected as well. And maybe that is my Leo Rising because my ability to analyze a situation and problem solve have really helped me thrive.

The Aries sun Leo rising chart is a special kind of magic for sure. The sun is exhalted in Aries, and in its planetary joy in the 9th house. As a Leo rising, it's the best placed chart ruler to have. Certainly a lifetime for self-actualization!
As a Leo Rising with stelliums in both Capricorn 6th and Aquarius 7th, Sun and Moon in Aquarius 7th, I've always struggled with finding true balanced happiness. My Jupiter (retrograde) in Virgo 2nd is the only anchor (aside from Pluto in Scorpio) and it's like, not a great placement for that. Lot's of anxiety and pretty much a fear of being "seen", but as I've gotten older, I realized I can't deny my underlying desire to be recognized - and weirdly most people I know at any real level recognize it too - which has always led them not to believe my true intentions (no matter how ""aligned" I live my life with the desire to be "of use", and not regard my "ego").
You can't really fight the relevancy in any part of your chart because other's will always recognize it even if you deny it yourself. Astrology has been great for radical self-acceptance.
I so agree. Having both Luminaries in my 8th house was such a journey with shame until I learned of my astrology chart. That's why I love it so much.
