Why I buy gym equipment and training equipment that is Made in the USA! American Manufacturing is something that I've been familiar with for most of my life. Over the last few years, I've made it a priority to purchase as much of my gym equipment as possible from companies that produce equipment here in America.

I try to purchase American products whenever possible. We eat whole foods and grow a lot of our own food. We live on four acres. I'm enjoying your content, so you've gained another subscriber.
Road trips with little kids? Ahh, yes, I remember those days. My daughter is now 19. :)
I grew up in Iowa, there’s nothing like a home garden. Living in a city makes that much more difficult, I’m jealous haha.
Hey Levi. I really appreciate that you’re genuine about this and have a legitimate reason to prefer American manufacturing. I’m the same way though my story is not as great as yours.
I don’t know how involved you are with the home gym community but a lot of the American made fanboys can make it toxic. They tend to not have genuine feelings for that and only use it as a way to bully others for not having as nice of things they do, so hearing your perspective and how it’s so aligned with mine was very refreshing.
I buy American for everything, not just gym equipment when I can. But I also recognize I can do that from a position of privilege. Not everyone can afford to and that’s okay too. I’m not pushing my approach to someone else because if I did, it would likely make people feel bad instead of actually doing something positive.
Hey man, thank you for this comment, I really appreciate your perspective on this. I agree that there are people that “flex” their American Made Consumerism. I’m not really interested in that as much as I value my role as a small supporter of people that are building awesome things. And, I’m a sucker for a great story and strong relationships and the brands I tend to buy from certainly deliver in those areas.
GREAAT video @Levi! What Trap Bar do you recommend?
Thanks for tuning in! I use a regular “olympic” trap bar for my younger athletes and ladies. And then for my bigger athletes I’ll use a bigger trap bar, like the Rogue or Titan version.
The regular trap bars are usually all over Marketplace, and I’m sure there are still some great Black Friday deals to be found.

I'd add the environmental piece. Health conscious people will say to buy local to lessen the carbon footprint when buying 16 oz of spinach, while owning a few thousand pounds of exercise equipment shipped from the other side of the globe.
