Hey Brother! Just completed the Black Pearl build. I did it during a business trip as a gift for my daughter who is a pirate fan. The build came together well, and i really didn't have a major problem with the hull, but it did take a lot of working the metal to get it right. As you said in your video, the sails were tricky bc of the lack of space to work in, and I had to take my time. I truly believe that if you aren't a patient person, these models are definitely not for you. The ship came out great, and my daughter loved it. As always, thanks for the video, and tips to help make things easier. Keep up the good work! Take care man!
Working on this today..... Only my second kit. First was the Chrysler building. Both were gifts. Thank you so much for these videos, saved me from making the same mistake with the hull for sure!
I just made this last week and i did not watch this video before, i had the same problem with the hull, but instead of reshaping it i bent the stand into a parallelogram to hold the hull.
I try to be a new fan of Metal Earth. Would you mind to give me a list of tools you used in the assembling? Then I can purchase all tools first and start my assembling journey. Thanks!
How did you manage that? I'm working on that thing right now. Took me almost half an hour just to put thos tiny-ass lanterns on the back of the ship. Right now I'm at the final step and manipulating the ship without breaking it, attaching th ropes and securing them without everything falling my hands is nothing short from a herculean task.
Cool! I picked this one up along with the SR-71 model. I'm kind of a clumsy jackass, so I'll try the Blackbird model first to get the hang of it, but you make this look do-able, so that's good.
I’m getting the iconx model, is it a big difference? I know they are better like the tower of Pisa has more detail so I imagine that, but there we no videos of the iconx version of the pearl.
I have not build the ICONX version, but looking at the online instructions. it really doesn't seem to differ much if at all. It just looks like it's bigger.
That’s what I was thinking also. I figured I would get the big one because I love those ships. They are so beautiful when they are all put together. The first one I did was just the little one on the Moby Dick book and I was addicted! I can’t wait for it to come in the mail with the Queen Anne’s Revenge also!
i literally spent an hour just getting to step two, and then got so frustrated i just bent the stupid thing into 10 pieces, i was so done annoying myself.
Wow I just learned of these metal models...waiting for the Black Pearl to get here tomorrow...first 1 I'm doing...didn't realize how long they been around... hopefully if needed I can get some help from u guys that are already into this...
@@animateorange thank you...it's coming in from Amazon tomorrow and I can't wait...I might even head to Walmart to grab a quick beginner...any good beginner recommendations other than the Black Pearl?

Thank you for your comment. It's always good to hear that my videos are helpful.
Excellent build 👏 your video is really helpful, especially the section on the hull. Just bought this kit and looking forward too building it 👍
I will use this presentation to make mine. Not an easy project to demo. Well done from the UK

karl duval It's good to know that the videos are helpful.
Sad i destroyed mine and stayed alway from those kits...
Just started the build for this model, the hull is a curved one piece and the bow spirit is a mongrel to fit. They must have re invented the set up.
I just made this last week and i did not watch this video before, i had the same problem with the hull, but instead of reshaping it i bent the stand into a parallelogram to hold the hull.
I wish I would have watched this first. I ran into one issue with the bow of the hull. Otherwise, a good build. Sail masts requires patience. Lots.
thanx for the vid i am a complete newbie just got a pteranodon kit and some tools looking forward building my first metalearth dinosuar
Thank you for this video
Steven Vaughn your welcome, hope it helps.
Great video cheers fella and thanks for the tip regarding the hull I will remember that when I do this build. Take it easy and thanks again.
I have the instructions in japanese language. Do u have it in english plz? Thanx
Surely you have some severe restraint on your patience because these things are physically impossible but somehow you do them.

I have several videos about the tools that I use. You can find the playlist here: ruclips.net/p/PLdXBkv4oG6JfpEp3e2sKriD3HZRBtmh6L

I commented this before actually watching the video so I didn't realise it's the regular version. I'm doing the Iconix one.
The galley at the back is upside down. I made the same mistake. Looks better once flipped over. Good video
I got this one and three others coming in t h e mail next week

"STOP BLOWING HOLES IN MY SHIP"
I like to think im a patient person but holy fuck the masts were making me so pissed
Took me over a month to build this
Nothing wrong with taking your time to do it right.

Jack sparow?
Captain Jack Sparrow.
Directions are garbage. I wasted 10 bucks on this.
