Actually we do not have to prove anything to anyone as our history tells it all. The courage our military has shown even against overwhelming odds proves that.
The Battle of Passchendaele - More than 4,000 of our soldiers died in the fighting there and almost 12,000 were wounded.
Vimy ridge - The corps suffered 10,602 casualties: 3,598 killed and 7,004 wounded.
We fought in many more battles in the 2nd world war and Korean war. We fought in the middle east to support the USA and the rest of the alliance.
Our military is not shit. It has spirit and are very well trained.

Tzuyu Chou ......Thousands of Americans have served (and were killed in or missing in action) with the Canadian Army, Royal Canadian Air Force and Royal Canadian Navy in the First World War, the Second World War and the Korean War......the ONLY foreign memorial inside Arlington National Cemetery is "The Cross of Sacrifice" immediately beside the US Tomb Of The Unknowns......it is there to remember those Americans who were killed or were missing in action in those wars while wearing a Canadian military uniform.......also note that in the US Civil War, there were thousands of Canadians who served in the US Union army, several of whom earned the highest American award of the US Medal of Honor....! We are locked in geography, United in democracy and blood brothers in our joint military services......!
I will forever have a soft spot for my Canadian brothers and sisters.

SMASHY Ha! You should see the shoestring size of our defence in Nz. It's about 1% of our GDP. An ever shrinking infrastructure. If we get a new warship or plane, guaranteed some other project gets cut as a result. Like cutting a four frigate replacement in the nineties to pay for 2 frigates and a troop ship, with four inshore patrol boats.
Or scrapping our three skyhawk squadrons, and the Fl6 deal offered to a previous conservative govt, to pay for upgrading our C130 H and B757 ,P3 Orion squadrons,which now need replacing, ten years after the refit began. Some new kit now for the army in form of the Canadian Lav 3 and Canadian frigate refit were having, but it's a shadow of what it once was. Even our P3 Orions are been cut from 6 to pay for 4 P8 Poseidens.
So much potential. The liberals agreed to increase budget up to 37 billion

There are terrific stories of young Canadian recruits on the last lines at Hong Kong in 1941...when we fought together...When the Indians knowing they would certainly die.... went forward and charged to save the young Canadian kids on their flank...forever!

we may have a small quantity but we prefer quality which has been displayed since the first war we have gone to. i truly honour you guys at the military who go out and risk your life for our incredible nation and to keep the known enemies of peace where they belong. you have brought honour to your nation, your people, and to your name.

Tatao Gutierrez That’s so true. Ever since Vimy ridge, we’ve shown that more is not always better. Our leadership and training was far superior back then, and today it is easily one of the best. JTF3 is no doubt one of the best special forces divisions out there.

I spent about a month and half out in new-zealand completed the aumangea program with your military. Had time off after so I went to taupo and go the chance to go snowboarding in whakapapa and biking in rotorua. Loved your country so much I wanted to move there. Cheers brother

Said that Canada was just a awsome place to live, better than the u.s, and I think most people around the world have that view aswell as whenever I've asked mates where would they rather travel too out of u.s or Canada, 95% of then say Canada. My enlistment for the NZ army is in a couple weeks so hopefully some where down the track I'll get to work with your military or get the chance to travel to Canada

I am wishing to join JTF2 once I’m older and have been doing some exercises as well.
You can't join JTF2 or any SOF commands until you are trained within the regular military. SOF is a great goal but you need to figure out what trade you want to be within the military. Any trade can apply to SOF as assaulters, specialists or support. Good Luck.
Soon isn't far... will join the day I got my status.. no matter how many years it will take.. Forces - proud

Generaly, we all must complete a 9 month military service,it is obligatory. But if we want to study this, we have to pass some exams when we finish school but because of the form of our exams and education, it is not accesible for anyone. So ,I belong to this category unfortunately!! 😐

There's no such thing as a Marine in Canada. Why would they put "The Maeine" in the beginning with the amphibious assault/diver portion? We have the Navy, which is La Marine in French, but that's not the same thing. Our troops are well trained and very resourceful, but our fleet and equipment are just sad.
