Fascinating and illuminating interview. I've watched the DVD of the Covent Garden Krol Roger a number of times (I've always loved the work). It's always nice to see/hear a singer who has something worthwhile to say and Kwiecień has much to say! My thoughts after the first viewing: sharkonarts.blogspot.com/2015/05/covent-gardens-glorious-krol-roger.html
Poor man: as great a singer as he is, he does not realize its his not only Polish but especially his Catholic roots that made him that, and how much better still he could be if he embraced this and returned to the faith of his childhood. A fact proven by scores and scores of the most imaginative - and not only artists. Obviously, his communist schooling did not make him aware of this, to his detriment. For his sake, and ours - his audience who wish him best, I hope he does that.
@@utahdan231 he was born in 1972, so in 1989 he was ... 17. So he was shape by commies. The Catholic church is the best btw 😊 even with all its faults. It seems that Kwiecień has problems with his sexuality.
@@polonaise20s oh, yes ! When you’re 17 years old you know everything about life , system , economy and your political views are established . Catholic church is the best. Obviously you know only one church. 🤣 You have no idea how other denominations work and how much they give to communities instead of taking.
I was so sad to hear he was quitting the stage. It was one of my goals to see him in person.
Thank you so much for posting
"nagyapám részben magyar volt"
(My grandfather was partly Hungarian) YES! :-)
Great interview, thank you
For my opinion, the best Eugene Onegin up to now
I agree with you , no question, also Posa
What a beautiful human being!

I heard he doesn't sing anymore.
Dear me, what a simpleton
So is this comment just unmotivated dickishness? Or is it dickishness with a motivation that I can't fathom?

Live your life and let others live theirs - the worst thing about religious people is the extent of their habit to be judgemental
Too bad he doesn't have wise people like you who obviously know best to tell him the divinely-inspired truth.
Chorus et Cantus He’s too young to be shaped by communism. You call him to go back to his faith or a Catholic Church? Two different things to me.
