    The great thing about Arizona is that you don’t have an egomaniac governor like Gavin Newsom. 2 years ago-97 billion dollar surplus, last year-23 billion dollar DEFICIT! Starting this year- 73 billion dollar DEFICIT!! So far! And as far as the 2nd amendment, Arizona rocks!

      Yes some people move here for the more conservative views. However, AZ does have a mix of political views as we've seen the state become more purple and become a swing state.

    This reminds me of the 2004 timeline when prices went up due to CA moving to AZ. Then we all know what happened in 2008. I then bought 6 properties in 2010 at half the price.
    Get ready for another 2008. My CA driving is a minimum of one hour per way.

      An hour each way is just crazy! I think the average here is 30 mins or less.
      I don't think we will have another 2008 for a number of reasons. We don't have an oversupply of homes like we did in 2008. We also don't have lenders out here doing whatever they want to get people into homes which was a HUGE issues in 2008. Also, at least here in AZ, the majority of our homes are owner occupied vs in 2008 it was investors flipping to investors flipping to investors and in the end, they had no one to live in them.

      @@heidilittleton also, the money printers are about to turn on soon. If a crash doesn't happen soon, it won't happen this cycle.

    As someone who has lived in both states with no status quo or agenda. I want to make this very easy and clear to understand for people moving here. California has the highest GDP in the US, I think we should stop acting like it's some bum paradise. The homelessness issue is caused by several things; including, perfect year around weather and other states bussing them in at an alarming rate as well as the rising cost of living without an increase in wages which is currently happening in AZ as well. Politically we are much more moderate than people think, our current governor, secretary of state, and attorney general are all democratic as well as our senators. While it is true we are much cheaper than California by large margins, places like Sedona and Flagstaff are not so much. I hope this helps.

    The 2 bedroom unit behind me is listed for 2,000 a month and empty 3 months now i’m curious if someone will pay that from California- those seem like California prices to me

      Where is that at? Does seem high for a 2 bedroom depending on the location.

    What about pollution?

    • @heidilittleton
      @heidilittleton  7 месяцев назад

      I think that will depend on who you ask. I have family that lives in CA as well as multiple clients who have moved here and the pollution is BAD in CA...worse than AZ. I will say, I have noticed more pollution in the 13 years I've lived here as our city grows but it's no where near CA.

    You can block all the high prices, but PLEASE bring the democratic ideals to Arizona, we need them badly.
