    Your camera work, background scores, and editing have equally well complemented the nature expedition. Fabulous! Please share more on your camera setups, editing software, and thought process.

    Great movies! You motivated me, even I am Slovenian and I was biking that routes few times. I have to do it again! There is just one minor thing!?
    There is stricly prohibited to camp in Triglav national park (outside dedicated camping places, overnight)! You can be punished with a fairly high fine! There was a case where the boys post a movie about their adventure on utube and later received a greeting in the form of an “invoice”.
    In general, Slovenes very rarely camp outside official campsites.

    • @tristanbogaard
      @tristanbogaard  2 года назад

      Thanks for your comment, Tomaz! I agree that camping in an official campsite is better than outside of one while cycling in Slovenia. In our case, we were often too slow to make it to a campsite due to filming our ride, which is why we wild camped a fair bit. It’s a practice that’s very normal in the worldwide bike travel community and I believe anyone viewing these videos is capable enough to make their own well informed decisions about wild camping, in Slovenia or elsewhere.

    Beautifully shot. Still feel you would massively decrease the time you spend setting up shots if you got an action cam, or two, such as a Go-Pro and or Insta 360. Would also add more variety of shots as well especially of actually riding e.g. descents without having to run back the whole time to get your camera for just a few seconds of footage of riding quickly down a pass or switchbacks. Still great shots though. This area of Slovenia looks breathtakingly beautiful. To be continued .........

      Thanks for the feedback once again, Alex! I’m really liking my new style and don’t want to add more complexity / luggage / chargers at the moment as it would be another camera and SS card to manage. There’s too many for my taste already. Hopefully you’ll keep enjoying what’s to come-episode 3 of the West Loop will go live on Friday!

      @@tristanbogaard I would like to say that I really like your new style of shooting. without Gopro and Drones, the video looks more atmospheric. it turns out that it is better to immerse yourself in what is happening in the video. very beautiful frames, beautiful colors and good sound. Please tell me, what equipment did you start using for filming in Slovenia? what kind of camera, lenses and microphone?

    • @tristanbogaard
      @tristanbogaard  5 месяцев назад +1

      Wild camping, legally, is always a problem. Likewise, Slovenia has strict laws on it and patrols to make sure people don’t camp out near the Soča River, for example. Be careful, leave no trace and only pitch for the nightly hours.

    Hi Tristan, looking to do this route in summer - do you think it would be possible to complete on gravel bike with ~35-40 mm tires? What’s the width of your tires that you used? Cheers

    • @tristanbogaard
      @tristanbogaard  2 года назад +1

      Hey Matt! You could, but I’d recommend riding it a little wider on 47mm tires, which is what we used there. There’s lots of asphalt though, and if you’re ok with 35-40mm on bumpy trails and potentially walking a some stretches, so you should be ok if your frame or fork doesn’t allow for more width.

    Which month did You ride Slovenia?

    • @tristanbogaard
      @tristanbogaard  2 года назад

      Hi Paweł! We rode through Slovenia in late July. It’s a great month to ride because of the weather we had but I’d say June is better due to lower levels of tourism.
