I recommend you watch to Dujun's drama Splash Splash Love first, it's like a short story, it only has 2 (I think?) episodes but it's so good!!

LIAAAAA! Thank you so much for sending in this guide. I really really really enjoyed it, and they did a good job "highlighting" (LOL...let the jokes roll) each member. =). I had no idea that they were actors/musical actors too so that was so much fun to watch. :D

I've actually seen Gikwang for the first time in that dance reality show - I followed it because of Taemin and Eunhyuk but got impressed by Gikwang's dancing.
I love Yoseob's bright personality and Doojoon's sense of humor. Last year Dongwoon appeared in I Live Alone with Minkey....they went on a watersports outing and it was beyond hilarious seeing these bunch of old friends hanging out, dissing each other and laughing at one another during the rides - poor Key had it the worst 🤣🤣🤣

Lmao Tammy laughs but I swear he looks a lot like that guy Ritchie Neville. Even the hair is similar to how Dongwoon had it when I saw him with Key and Minho last summer 😌 Anyway Dongwoon's the one who thought the pizza was "Mexican style" lol Okay, I remember now, he's part of the 91 line along with Key, Minho, Suho etc etc 🥰 I remember thinking he's really cute. No wonder he's the one who stood out to me when I watched the Alone mv

Gikwang...wow. HAHA. The way he moves just blows me away every single time. Every single time I watch that beginning sequence of "Not the End" I get a little red now. HAHAHA. How can he move so beautifully like that?! But anyways...lol. That's cool that you learned Gikwang thru a dance reality show with Taemin & Eungkwang!!!
I def gotta watch I Live Alone. Shawols talk a lot about it, and if I can't watch it on YT, I'll def watch it on another platform with you guys. I'd love to see these episodes!
A HOTTEST STAY who is also a huge 2nd gen fan mentioned how 2PM/2AM/HIGHLIGHT are super close due to their history back in the day (as they all trained together back today)...and a LIGHT mentioned that DuJun almost debuted in 2PM and Gikwang in 2AM (if my memory serves me right...). I love seeing that close relationship. =)
And @LesMusicFan mentioning Rtichie Neville and Dongwoon having similar qualities always makes me laugh. She's not wrong though. I could KINDA see it. haha.

Very interesting to get to know a bit more about them. I definitely saw Gikwang in a kdrama I watched years ago, which totally explains why he looked so familiar to me when I watched your guys' reaction to them.

I love your reactions to Highlight. This was basically me too 3 years ago when I followed Gikwang out of a kdrama and found out he is a K-pop idol and dancer. And then found Highlight… no going back now.😂 So from one recent Light to another, welcome and thank you for sharing your experience!
It's kinda funny how that works, doesn't it? The funny thing about this is when I was shopping for Monsta X albums , I remember seeing the After Sunset group pic and Gikwang was in the middle of the pic (the pic was black and white on the Music Plaza website). I remember thinking "Highlight? Gotta check them out! And wow...that guy in the center is so attractive." LOL. At some point, I remember telling Beth we should check them out offline, and Beth suggested we should check out Highlight on our Rendezvous series months later. =). After watching a few of their MVs and listening to "After Sunset" mini, I was done for. This is one of the very few groups who has captivated me like this. We listen to a lot of groups, but it's evident who I find very special to my heart (Monsta X, Shinhwa, and now Highlight).
@@LaChiMoLaLaOT7 LOL, exactly! Your list of special groups makes me think I should seriously check out Monsta X, aside from the casual snippets I’ve heard/seen here and there. I’ve been meaning to because two members impressed me in relation to Highlight. Minhyuk was on King of Mask Singer during Yoseob’s run as king (which he did right after military service), and when Minhyuk was unmasked, he said that he recognized the King’s voice he had been waiting for, that Yoseob was one of his inspirations as a singer, and he hoped to buy the King a meal after his run was done. Which was a lovely thing to say at a moment most competitors talk about themselves - it made me want to know more about him and Monsta X. And Joohoney was hilarious in a surreal fake reality show with Gikwang last year (Muziekwang) and I liked his rapping in the final song. So, where would you recommend starting a deep dive into Monsta X?
@@anneb.9435 Hope you don't mind me jumping in here: Just like you as a Light I was super touched by Minhyuk's message to Yoseop during KMS so I checked out Monsta X's predebut competition show called No Mercy. I felt like I got a really good sense of the group's goals, members' personalities (although they've evolved since then) and I became a fan. Just like Highlight they're really funny, super hardworking, several of the members write/compose the group's music, really talented, did I mention funny - like chaotic funny! But I'm still fairly new to Monsta X so I'm sure other Monbebes will have better suggestions?

"Why Not? The Dancer" is a great show if you can catch it somewhere, the four of them (although either Taemin or Jisung aren't in all of the episodes due to concerts and other schedules) are so adorable together. Crossing my fingers there will be a second season tbh.
Dujun and Gikwang are both very into soccer, they even were captains of the Korean celebrity soccer team and there are a lot of Korean men who know them as soccer players before idols 😂 They livestreamed their reaction to some of the Korean team matches during the World Cup and the one for the match against Ghana has more views than the official replay lmao.
Hyunseung indeed released a song under the name ABLE not too long ago, he left Cube after his military service and went to another company.
And you definitely discovered them at the right time, especially with Gikwang's solo coming soon 😏

I love how much Dujun and Gikwang love soccer so much. =). Dujun is freakin' good at it too! That goal!!! That was fun to watch. =) Watching the World Cup is always so much fun, especially the last one when I was rooting for Argentina to win too. =)
Def got to watch Hyunseung/ABLE's music in the future.

@LaChiMoLaLa Dujun is so good at soccer it's ridiculous! He's actually one of the idols who kept bothering ISAC to include footsal to the competition back in the day haha

I forgot to mention this earlier but yes, Jang Hyunseung released his first single under the name ABLE after he left Cube last Aug 2021. The song title is "Feeling" 😊
And the dog Yoseob was holding in one of his pics? That's his pet Yanggaeng! I don't know how old the furbaby is right now but Yanggaeng has been around since their Beast days. Such a cutie!!
I also really appreciate it when you said you'd also like to know the past members, cause as their fan since debut, those two hold special places in my heart too 🥺

Thanks for the video. As you know they are the best idol out there ever. They just a bit lack of promotion i think, cause they don speak English or another language than Korean so it really hard for us international fan. They are amazing- fun fact many younger idols are their fan, you can see them come out when you watch the king of mask singer 😊. 12:50 yes they cant use their former name but just everyone konw who they are and still refereed them as b2st even the idol, mc, fan and everyone - you will see if you see any interview or show that they in😊.

But yes, I see younger idols cover their music, which is so awesome. That's when you know you're making an impact if other idols are performing your music.
