Who ever is in charge with the Philippines Culture and Arts and Tourism should work with this young generation . Bring them around the world like during PH independence Day celebrations-- in a big venue with a very good production , with proper and ample time of advertising… please❤ And Yes, give them a platform that shows their craft , like a weekly show that will be shown to all the social media platforms or networks if still available - Help them please, sadly the problem in reality is most Filipinos in our country will only start recognising them when they get the international recognition . I have been living here in London for decades now and when I go home to visit mas kilala ko pa ang SB19 and other PPop groups than family and friends and colleagues who lives in Philippines

There seems to be a common longing among these featured P-pop artists. They deeply desire to please Filipinos and be loved by their kababayans first before venturing internationally. I loved seeing this kind of interaction among PPop groups esp. the discourse on topics relevant to them.... Yes, PPop is at an exciting experimental stage!
I hope that as PPop establishes its own system, the stakeholders (agency/management) keep their focus on music production. As much as KPop culture is a good reference, I hope PPop doesn't adopt the extreme commercialization prevalent in KPop (eg. light sticks, merch, etc.). It's good that the PPop photo cards are tied up to brand endorsements instead of coming from the group's own companies. For the light sticks, I hope PPop adopts Western artists' implementation which considers sustainability (eg. Cold Play providing light up bands which they collect at the end of each concert) instead of each PPop group having (designing/selling) their own light sticks. Unless they somehow come up with a biodegradable option, reusing/recycling would be the best alternative.
As for the platform to promote PPop, it would be good to have music shows dedicated to PPop but I think it shouldn't be similar to KPop's Inkigayo, MNet etc (which are premised on competition). For now, we can just maximize existing platforms like music and variety shows where comebacks can be promoted. Maybe pushing for legislation that requires free-to-air channels to allot certain airtime to promote PPop or OPM? Existing shows/content producers like MTV or MYX (or maybe Billboard PH?) having segments/performance stages for PPop promos for their new releases perhaps? And having them aired on free-to-air channels? After all, those networks acquire their franchise through legislation naman so might as well mandate how airtime should be used?
I also hope that PPop fans watch this so that they can follow the lead of these young artists. May they continue to shape PPop culture into one that is collaborative and free from fan wars.
Anyway, kudos to Billboard PH for supporting PPop and OPM! Sana magtuloy-tuloy. PPop rise!
