*i also love how this podcast shows that SB19 are RISK-TAKERS, that they are not only breaking industry norms, audience expectations (genre diversity, high-quality MVs, topnotch concert prod), they are truly putting their money where their mouth is-FINANCING their endeavours (solos/group) with their OWN hard-earned money (serving as executive producers). they're not only artists sharing their creations, they are also their own agents, their own marketers, their own financiers, their own managers (1Z). so when i say they're risk-takers, what i mean is they're taking risks not only artistically, they're actually betting on their careers using their OWN money. and we already know that they've been taking risks since their debut-launched without much funfare by an unknown company, went ahead with their PPOP branding despite the ridicule from the press, industry insiders and pinoy audiences. back then they weren't only betting on the success of their group, they were also betting on the success of ppop (they were rookies, no big company to back them up, no industry connections) and yet they persevered. now ppop is a burgeoning OPM subgenre and has become an impetus for Filipino music to be introduced to global audiences. the RISKS they took, the risks they're taking and the risks they'll take all stems from their goal from the very beginning: UPLIFT the quality of Filipino music/performers and bring them to the global stage. RISK-TAKING is in SB19's DNA because they BELIEVE in themselves, they believe in what they can offer and most importantly they believe in what the Filipino artists/creatives are capable of.*

I am an ajumma, and I never followed a boyband before in my life even kpop until I stumbled upon sb19. More than their music, it is their personality and conviction that made me stay. It is refreshing to see artists with substance, which is quite rare to see among the young artists today esp in ppop groups. I hope they gain more recognition locallly and internationally, the industry needs such role models and trailblazers.
same here.. never been a fan of any boyband or even Kpop until SB19. At first I thought like others, they're just "Kpop wannabee's" but the more I learn and get to know them the more I realize they're not your typical boyband. They're more than that. They have substance, their songs are relevant, meaningful and relatable and not just nonsense or shallow lyrics. They're vulnerable and not afraid to do so. They have unique individual personality and they're real, genuine. They're not scared to show who they really are, and you'll love them for being that way. They have wisdom and most of all they have purpose. They're driven by their goals and they persevere with determination to overcome hurdles and obstacles along their way. Because of that they inspire people.
What made me a fan of SB19 is more than their talents, music, creativity and visuals. It is humility and perseverance, and most importantly is their movement to place Philippines to the global map, by achieving their goal and vision of making Filipino music, culture, language and heritage be known. Philippines is a country of great talents especially in singing and dancing. But as what Pablo said “Why are Filipinos not known globally? If South Korea being a small country can do it, why can’t Philippines? This is why we need to support SB19 and all our artists as well as the movie industry! The more we support them, the closer they get to reach their goal, not just for theirselves but for our country!

Another insightful convo with SB19. This is the reason why I don’t get tired watching their interviews because they always bring something to the table esp if they are asked good questions. I really want them to be successful because of their visions. It is very selfless. SB19 is a movement.
SB19 members are leaders, extremely talented people . Yes they can all be solo artists, but when watching them perform, nothing like having 5 “treats”, why 1 when you can have 5. They have created the perfect formula to a long lasting career , awesome goals that benefits the Philippines, ambassadors and now helping others to have the same success, even Westerners are impressed with how they’re achieving all of these. When u think boy and example NSYC, there’s only 1 member who stood out, Justin Timberlake while SB19, each one are the best of their own and if one member left, it will never be the same. So proud of them, I am an avid fan and I tell others about them every chance I get.
Challenge the industry, break the norm - I love this mindset. They surely know what they're talking about. They're here not only to be successful, but also to be meaningful!
That vision is what really sets them apart...its not only for them but for the whole industry. They're the movers and shakers of this generation. They really want to create a Filipino brand of music that can be appreciated world wide. And I personally think that Filipinos need to erase this mindset of bashing fellow Filipinos about their looks or whatever. I think this is a form of self-hatred, brought about by colonialism perhaps? These five boys represent True Filipino Male Beauty in all its variety. I personally like how they look. And I like their attitudes even more. They carry themselves with dignity. They are so respectful towards people. They are protective of each other. I never really watched any JPOP, KPOP , PPOP till I listened to SB 19 ang maganda kasi sakanila. Never lumaki ang ulo. Kung ano sila noon ganon pa din sa fans nila ngayon.

I am an ajumma, and I never followed a boyband before in my life even kpop until I stumbled upon sb19. More than their music, it is their personality and conviction that made me stay. It is refreshing to see artists with substance, which is quite rare to see among the young artists today esp in ppop groups. I hope they gain more recognition locallly and internationally, the industry needs such role models and trailblazers.
same here.. never been a fan of any boyband or even Kpop until SB19. At first I thought like others, they're just "Kpop wannabee's" but the more I learn and get to know them the more I realize they're not your typical boyband. They're more than that. They have substance, their songs are relevant, meaningful and relatable and not just nonsense or shallow lyrics. They're vulnerable and not afraid to do so. They have unique individual personality and they're real, genuine. They're not scared to show who they really are, and you'll love them for being that way. They have wisdom and most of all they have purpose. They're driven by their goals and they persevere with determination to overcome hurdles and obstacles along their way. Because of that they inspire people.

What made me a fan of SB19 is more than their talents, music, creativity and visuals. It is humility and perseverance, and most importantly is their movement to place Philippines to the global map, by achieving their goal and vision of making Filipino music, culture, language and heritage be known.
Philippines is a country of great talents especially in singing and dancing. But as what Pablo said “Why are Filipinos not known globally? If South Korea being a small country can do it, why can’t Philippines? This is why we need to support SB19 and all our artists as well as the movie industry! The more we support them, the closer they get to reach their goal, not just for theirselves but for our country!

I really want them to be successful because of their visions. It is very selfless. SB19 is a movement.
SB19 members are leaders, extremely talented people . Yes they can all be solo artists, but when watching them perform, nothing like having 5 “treats”, why 1 when you can have 5. They have created the perfect formula to a long lasting career , awesome goals that benefits the Philippines, ambassadors and now helping others to have the same success, even Westerners are impressed with how they’re achieving all of these. When u think boy and example NSYC, there’s only 1 member who stood out, Justin Timberlake while SB19, each one are the best of their own and if one member left, it will never be the same. So proud of them, I am an avid fan and I tell others about them every chance I get.
