Man, I almost ALMOST bought one of these after a pal and I had a good discussion about it. I would have jumped into the Sony arena, but I can't justify it at the moment. Regardless, I appreciate your take on this rig because it gives me more insight as to why I'd be happy if I did move into the Sony system. Thanks!

I also had an A7iii years ago but went back to Fuji until recently when I ditched Fuji and went for the A7Cii. The ZF was also in my shortlist but I thought it'd be too heavy to carry about all the time. I wanted something that could get great photos and videos. I couldn't be happier.
I have to disagree about the battery life though, I've found it to be great. No need for a 2nd battery for my use anyway.

I tested this cam out. And i have to say, i really like it. I used to to say, if i want to have fun taking photos, i take my FujiFilm X Pro 2 and if i want to use my camera professionally, i use my sony A7iii or a A7IV. But i enjoyed the A7CII more than i would have thought! Probably gonna buy this in the future!

    Hello,
I've just discovered your channel, thank you for this video and the beautiful photos. I have a question for you regarding the A7CII. I've been interested in this camera for some time now, but I can't seem to take the plunge for one reason: I've always used Fuji, Ricoh and Leica cameras (I saw that at least you use/used Ricoh and Fuji as well :)). What these 3 cameras have in common is that I love the colors they produce. They're different, but they're all great starting points for editing (and I dont like heavy editing)
I like the idea of this A7CII, but I've never used a Sony camera, and I've seen for years, and still see today, that everyone is pretty hard on Sony and its color science (“the colors are bad, too many green tints, lack of soul in the files, much more work to edit them” etc.). I'm not looking for an equivalent to Fuji, Ricoh or Leica, but simply a camera that produces beautiful images with nice colors that are easy and pleasant to edit. As colors are important to me, all these negative comments make me hesitate to buy a Sony camera, and I wonder if it's still true or if it's just an ingrained belief.
You quickly mention in your video that you also once had issues with Sony colors. How do you finally find the colors on your A7CII after using Fuji for so long?
I'd love to hear your perspective on this subject and maybe it could help me to make a decision :)
Thank you very much for your time and have a nice day

Thank you. I assume I need to use a creative look of BW with the settings you shared. If not let use know what creative look you use? Also do you know if the same Creative Look works on the A7CR as well as the A7CII? Also is there away to save the creative look? Great video. Take care. Also I use focus tracking so I really don’t need a joy stick but do miss it.

I was so torn in between this or the canon r8. I’m always on the go so I wanted very light weight but the crop 4K on the A7CII just turned me off. I feel tho, I’ll still be picking it up in the near future. 😅

I had Canon R8 and sold it after 6 months. Great camera but it was still too big for my liking. I am now rocking Panasonic S9 with 45 f2.8 which is very small setup but I still miss my Fuji X-E4 + 27mm f2.8 - this was pure joy for street. Go for A7C II it should be small enough for every day carry.

I have the fujiXt20 and the autofocus is TRASH especially with the lens i have. But I've been looking to upgrade to FF for a while and Sony autofocus is known to be one of if not the best. I think that would solve some of my issues a lot. There have been times I think I have a good shot, but then I come back and the focus is way off.

I think the only difference between this the a7c ii and the a7 iv is the ergo/design. the specs are almost identical. i use to ask myself who in the world is this cam for because i never use my evf. my face would be planted on the group if i relied on it to get the angles that i want. i just use the screen on the back 24/7.

    • @dirkpehrke9909

The A7c II has the new AI chip, the A7IV doesn’t. The IV has a better EVF and 2 card slots. The C II doesn’t have a full mechanical shutter, the IV has one.

  • @ghas4151
    @ghas4151 4 месяца назад

Man, I wish they put two card slots in this. Then I’d gladly use it for weddings. I absolutely love this camera otherwise. Call me crazy, but I’ve been using it with the 50 f1.2 GM and 70-200 f2.8 GM II. Coming from a Nikon Z9 and the equivalent fast glass, I’m saving about half the weight and half the size.

    • @anybodyshoots
